This picture is from a military exercise called Robin Sage, its basically training in unconventional warfare for the Special Forces, someone I know is a cadet and he's going to be playing as the opposing force

in the pic, it looks like they're wearing v-force shields (or whatever the hard bottom morph is) and using tippman carbines

here is the pic

You could've looked at the AGD Sydarm. They've been available for military and police use for years.

Available for military use doesnt mean we use em. It would be too logical to train that realistically. Its a much better idea to train with crappy miles gear laser tag crap so you dont know what it feels like to be motivated not to get shot.

When I was stationed in Okinawa, with the 3rdMARDIV, they regularly borrowed paintguns from MWR (Morale, Welfare, and Recreation) to be used in combat town at the CTA.

Sadly, the CTA wouldn't allow recreational paintball at combat town. On the other hand, they did hold games at closed Onna Pt base, barrack, armory, movie theater, and all.

We just got back from Ft. Hood, TX. They have a paintball rec area and my son who just shipped to afghanistan said they had used some of the equipment for training.

I imagine that most large bases have some kind of paintball rec area, or somthing similar.

dont know about military...

i was watching COPS a while back, and they were going after some guy who was being violent twards his family and waving a gun around... they busted into the building and the first cop was holding a hand gun, quickly followed by a horribly fat cop wielding a tippman of some sort with a halo on it (hey, dont look at me, it confused me as much as it probably confuses you) ... he also had a tank cover on it, so it was a possible HPA tank also.
Maybe he didnt wanna be stuck with total **** so he bought some of his own gear to bring along ???
