Anybody else play Pump/Stock Class?

Just wanted to know who else here on AO likes to play pump/stock class just for fun...I've almost been looking at picking up a used Phantom just for fun because it seems to go back to the core of paintball and what I fell in love with about the game almost 10 years ago..

Hey:

Pump is a blast. I have tons of them too. Probably the best feeling you can get while playing paintball is go out on a field full of electronic guns and you with your 10 rounds and a good pump, and coming out victorious with a kill or two.

I play pump or stock almost exclusively. I use my Mag only for big games. That's also true for most of my friends. Pump play is alive and well in Ottawa.

DB you should hook up with Rossco, he is the San Diego pump gun master. I've seen him hold the enitre field by himself and he can one ball like nobody's business. He always thanks the kid when they stick their head out and he tags them, makes for a terribly amusing game. It's a goose fart followed by a 'Thank you!'.

Yep got the Illusion. It comes out on occasion. Also have a PGP2k. Love using it for 1 v1 pistol duels. Limit of 10 rounds. its a blast. Have to admit most of the time the Illusion has a 9 oz tank on it with gravity feed. Just don't like having to carry 12g/s around all the time. One thing I love about the illusion though is how easy it is to switch it to true stock class if the need be. Probably get me another phantom in due time.. that or an Apex Elite

i play stock and pump when i can't afford paint. It's just fun being able to run everywhere and jump around and not have to worry about a big heavy gun wieghing you down.

and it most definately is fun bunkering players with $1000+ guns with a gun made in 1985 :)

i wish there was more interest in pump in florida, though i am seeing a minor resurgance.

i love splatmasters. back in the day, we team practiced with them. meaning you brought your team and we played you using splats. you shot whatever you could carry.

oh yeah...that is stock class on a sup'air field for an open class top gun :D wait til i get you pics of my shiny new to me phantom. it is a vsc with 45 grip with a blue and pinkish red anno :D i also have a pgp that was done by Madcustoms

as for a harness i have one made by ronin gear, i think it holds 40 tubes/12grams it is the buttpack one

I sold my Angel IR3 in favor of buying an acid-blue SC Phantom without ever having played SC before. That was last August, and I haven't regretted it for a minute. The feeling of taking on and defeating two tourny players with timmys with three shots never gets old.

But of course, you have to be able to aim ;) .

I didn't play every game, It was getting hot and I'm gettin to old. Had plenty of fun sitting around talking and getting equipment working :)

It was down to me and Tim in the last game. Luckily, he ran out of paint before I did! he shot so many bouncers off me haha!

I love my Ronin buttpack harness. Some of the Cops ones are nice, though.

Avoid suspender-style ones, they tend to chafe your neck.

Used to be a PHOGer myself. But I sold my VSC since I found myself using my PGP most of the time. I LOVE stock class. While I'm not big on playing with the PGP on the speedball field, I DO love using it for rec/woods games. :)

I heartily recommend the Ronin butt-pack harness for stock class play. I've got mine loaded up and ready for afternoon play at Global Conquest on Saturday. The emag gets used in the morning, then I'll bust this out in the afternoon:

My Brother and his friend up in Utah play usually with their Sniper II's. They are good when they aren't being over run by 12 people going crazy throwing paint as if it was free. I've thought of going to a pump at one point or another. Might have to give it a whirl someday.

Picked up another Ram 68 and am cutting it down some, plus modifying it with a light short pull slide trigger. I miss my old one.
