K&N Air Filters

So I noticed I need to clean mine off... I read the instructions when I bought the thing, and I think I remember it saying you need to buy some sort of spray to do it... but now that its actually dirty, I cant find my instructions. Anyone know how to go about cleaning the filter?
Do I have to buy some special spray, or can I just hose it down with water?

i just cleaned my ATV k@n yesterday.

i suppose you could just clean it yourself but the its best to buy the kit

its under $15 if i recall

comes with a cleaning spray and also the oil that you need on the filter to make it work k@n like


you basically spray on cleaner

let sit 10 minutes

rinse from inside out with low pressure water (tap)

spray on oil

let sit 10 minutes

spray on oil in spots you missed

reinstall


just buy the kit :D

yep thats the best way or you can put it in sopey water let sit. than put your fritter oil on it ;)

do not use hair dryer to dry filter element
it will shrink the fibers!!

let dry overnight! or when ever its dry...then spray the oil
