So I was browsing through the boston craigslist.org, and I found this Hirobo Shuttle SXX complete with radio/charger/starter, etc for $50! At first I thought it was too good to be true, but I emailed the guy anyways. Turns out that he did indeed have the heli, and did not know anything about it, apparently it was given to him. So I just got home from picking up this minty RC heli that would have cost me a helluva lot more otherwise. Now all I have to do is figure out how to fly this beast! :D

Check it out:

Hehe...yeah...I'm sure I will crash it. I am considering buying a sim controller so I can practice first.

Mwahahahaa! My GF wants to kill me. I am in the process of gutting and sheetrocking my office, so all my audio/RC/computer/paintball/everything is piled in the corner of the living room. And I keep buying stuff!

Get a simulator for you comp and learn on that first. or go and get a training stand. I've been trying to learn how to fly one for some time now, and its pretty hard/weird.. Takes some coodination :bounce:

They are extremely difficult to fly....

Thats what I keep hearing. I think that I am going to invest in a training stand to make sure I dont crash and burn until I actually know what each control does. :ninja:

That is so cool. I knew a guy that had a B-17 with working bomb doors that would drop an egg (modded it himself) it was cool and looked real difficult to fly from all the buttons, levers etc on the the controller. I've wanted one of those but figured it's not worth the money for me to crash and burn it on day one. :D

Good resource : http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/rc-helicopters.html

Also, be careful where you fly this thing. I don't knwo where you live but around here (Queens, NY) you can only fly at controlled fields You hit someone with that thing and you are responsible for their whole world of hurt. I would love to get a nice plane or helo but the neaterst airfiled from my house is over an hour away so I'm sticking to land and water.

Very nice. So first things first. When are you going to try and mount a cannon or pb gun to it? :D

I am going to whip up some mounts for a few small Estes rockets, as they are easy to fire, can even use AA batteries with a capacitor to ignite them. Before any of you say anything, I'm only going to use them at remote locations, so as not to be branded a terrorist.

A little warning prompt just popped up on Dick Cheneys computer.
