Does any one have version 4 (I think its 4, the version with full-auto) software for the xmag?

4.0 was never released to the general public. It isnt full auto software, there has never been a full auto mode for the emag or xmag.

There was indeed a release of a 4 point something. I forget exactly what. And then it was recalled for a bug in it. But some people still have it. One of the problems was electronic noise that could result in multiple fireing. Not all did it. Some did. But it was never full auto. And unpredictable and uncontrollable to some extent. So it was recalled. But a few of them are still out there with owners that did not have the issue with it.

That was Miscue's beta version. A few had full-auto issues while some did not, like me. I think that US_Flyboy_with_a_mag had a special tweaked version by TK himself. Other features were scrolling text, shot buffering, and 20 sps.

Yes, there was a limited beta release of "4.0" at the California AO day in january.

And there was a later revision of 4.0 to 4.01 but again 3.2 is the stuff you get when you want AGD to update it for you.

I had 4.01 on my E-mag at one point, but it would randomly shoot 3 shot bursts so we had to re-flash it back to 3.2 =/.

Not to belabor a point, but didn't older versions of 1.37 or older have full auto. You had a physical device on the board that could disable it so it could be tourney legal? I remember hearing that somewhere.

They had burst modes, no f/a if I recall correctly...

1.37 had 3 and 6 burst modes. It never had full auto. Yes, 1.37 did use a jumper to disable/enable burst mode but with 3.2+, that jumper was no longer needed since the burst modes were taken out.

AH... Your refering to "burst mode" and it did. 9 Balls per second with the jumper on in bursts of three or six balls.

The jumper taken over later to run the ACE board.

Same here Flyboy. Mine had some issue's but Black waved his magic wand and now it's working great. Only when the battery is near dead (like 30 shots from dying) will it go crazy. By that time I'm pretty much screwed anyway.

I would really like to get a copy of 4.01 or Q1.01 or something. ;)
I just got a programmer and I've been messing around a bit with the ATMEL asm. If I get the time I'll start writing my own software. ;)

I'm still waiting for SOMEONE to do flashing in New England. I'm not even holding out for MA, anwhere around here will work.

So much for someone coming out to NE AO day 4.
