HI! I've decided that I'm going to build a mag. you know, chord or dollara body, the works. problem is, I know nothing about mags, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me all the parts that I will need. some links would be helpful as well. I know the big stuff...body, rail, x-valve, triggerframe,...but what i need to know is all the other stuff. I already searched AO to no avail. but I'm not sure what to search for.

The sear is IN the trigger frame, but it doesnt come with the trigger frame. You have to buy them seperate.
The sear is in the emag frames though, because it is hooked to the solenoid.

no, the sear is in the rail, not the trigger frame, the sear pin holds it to the rail and it rests in the trigger frame

Do not forget the rail bushing...it's very small yet very important, my gun fired like :cuss: without it.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned how much more you will be paying buying a mag piece by piece. Check out the RT Custom in the store or get yourself a good used one from here! ;)

if he is going to go with a chord or dallara body it might still be cheaper to buy everything seperate.. oh and my friend the bottem half of an emag is hard to find so if thats what you want go with a used one and then up from there.!!! other than that everyone pretty much covered everything all i can add is this handy dandy link to warpig when they did exactly what you are doing!!!
