you bet it works!

Sold to Slade for $100! ;)

yeah, its made out of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), and the triggers are made out of maple stock...

works fine, and since my junker mag only had a carbon fiber grip frame... this is a step in the right direction!

BTW... its definatly ULE...

Perhaps you could also make the rail, the feedneck and possibly the field strip screw also wooden. ;)

Bad_Dog
06-20-2004, 10:47 PM
the rail is in progress :)

and I already made a twist lock barrel on my friends lathe... but when I fired it the bolt shattered the twist lock part :(

You gotta use ironwood then!

MrHanky04
06-20-2004, 10:58 PM
hey if you can lower the price on it, i'll buy it.

Bad_Dog
06-20-2004, 11:17 PM
Ironwood wouldnt work too well... It tends to split when it gets thin (like as in a barrel) and its waxy texture wouldnt allow the paintballs to go through it too well...

but hey, atleast it would be waterproof!

yea.. i was there to help in its making..my y grip was the pattern.. it rules... i made the 2 triggers sitting next to it, sweet huh?.. i could kinda fan it.. but since the valves junk it froze up (co2).. cant wait till he finishes it :) :shooting: :headbang:

Bravo! I like the trigger on the right, btw. That spike look is pretty cool. Hey, get a nice, strong piece of stock, and make a drop for it. Heck, make yourself a balsa loader! Just don't get it shot to crap, is all.

i still say that tom should make lower-cost alternatives out of composite fiber like the stock single triggers - make a CF y-grip, CF intelli, etc

Having been a cabinet maker and wood worker I must say that is pretty cool. Im sure it wiil work however not for long. Wood on metal is never a good idea. So lets see an all wood paintball marker :D

i bet taht would work fine for a real long time, if there wasnt a tank hanging from it. If you had a vertical tank, or one that mounts on the rail right behind the trigger frame, it would be lovely. Im afraid though if you mount one on the grip, it might crack or somethign overtime.

sneakyhacker420

make everything but the valuve out of wood...that would be ...interestingbut its impossible to find a strong enough wood to support the spring retaining washer and the force of the spring against the body

deputydan
07-27-2004, 06:55 PM
Just make the body and rail longer so that the washer can be thicker in the middle, but then the bolt would have to be longer too...
