I doubt that any team would wear them because they dont reduce profile, they limit communication, they don't look cool, and they do not encourage bounces at all.

I think its a great idea. It looks kinda cool but the strap mechanism is the big thing.

Ive seen goggles pop off during games too many times, I don't understand why when we moved from goggles to full masks we never changed the straps.

I think the mask is cool, but straps are bad... i would probably just modify the sucker with normal straps or something...

I'd love the straps for use as rental goggles. It saves me the trouble of nailing the masks on to those stupid kids who are determined to loose their eyesite.

I wonder how the field of vision is in those things. Unless your nose touches the front armor, it looks like it's a good bit less than most masks.

I prefer the strap, I find it more comfortable with the wide strap hold it on my face.

Seems like the mask would give every player what they wanted, to ability to customize their mask.

The tiny eyes, I wonder if they decrese visibility?

I can see maybe the third generation of these being quite mean looking. Once they tweek it a bit.

I actually wouldn't mind wearing one. They look unique. I would have to try it on first though.

The goggles look like crap. The straps are overkill, except for kids with small heads. Its kinda ugly. It reminds me of a Jet Pilot mask.

Well now wait a minute. These people come from what looks like an EYEWEAR background. This is a fresh look at the goggles we all know and love. Let's keep in mind that both Scott and JT came from a MOTOCROSS background, and the goggles they developed were based on motocross.

These look to be CAD prototypes or the like, if they go into production I would try one on before passing judgement. The 2 lens design might work better than the single pane, it certainly would make it easier to get glasses like lenses, wouldn't it? I do agree the straps seem overkill, but I've seen goggles leave skulls way too many times to ignorance. JT has a chin strap, the "Skull" is designed to have an over-the-head strap too. I'd prefer it as an "optional" strap, but I get the feeling that it's designed to be worn "as is".

Oh, and they did their homework too. "Primarily, participants want gear that looks cool, intimidating, and can be "personalized" to reflect their individuality and passion for the sport." Sounds 'bout right. Who knows? You might see one of these sooner than you think...

LOL, that's why they looked somewhat familiar. I kinda like em, they're different.

The straps are nice, too. We should have had mandatory straps awhile ago.

Those straps look nice, but I wonder if the lenses have any room for glasses behind them. Somehow I doubt it, but we'll see.

I like em. In that wierd little way of mine.

Looked at website a couple times over and it looks like it will actually sit a little closer to your face than goggles now. the straps will be much better on shaggy hair. IT is not fun for the back strap (even WITH a hat...) to keep slipping.

Anyone else believe that the pannels (fron, and sides) will be more flexible than the base frame on it? It would make some sense because why else would they have to be more than one piece if it was all ridged, would it not?

Now if only I can get a pair In white/smoke/black combo I'm set on those guys.

Hey im already the only one I've seen (other than at TeX-Ball) that uses a mag, so why not be even more different with a mask?

VF-XX, I think they plan on giving you the option to have the lenses AS glasses... so you don't need to wear them underneath.

I suspected as much as well, which makes it a harder sale to me. That means it'll cost me for the mask + at least another $100 (probably 200) for the lenses.

Ahh well, Wait and see. I'm doing just fine with my NVX's right now anyway.

Read the website Mark gave, it specifacally says designed to fit over eyeglasses...........

I read it as they can have custom eyepieces GROUND to your prescription...

"Additionally, the eyepiece can be fitted with powered lenses - perfect for eyeglass wearers."

I really like this idea. I read it the same as tyger that the lenses would be the glasses. As a four eyer and hater of contacts this is AWESOME. I would love to not have to wear my contacts to play. Another plus is the intercangeability of the eye pecies. I personally hate to carry multiple masks. With the ability to easily change the "goggle" potion this would eliminate the need for multiple masks. Granted they aren't the best looking mask oot there but last time I checked I was oot to have and win not for a fasion show. In conclusion I would rock one of these no doubt.

Having perscription lenses would be nice for me a 4 eyer. However that is the ugliest mask I have ever seen, it looks like the company was invadedby aliens and then they sold thier faces to us, with glasses built in.

I'd be real grateful if anyone has a picture then could post again.

If they come out and the cost isn't to high I'd seriously look at getting one.

I don't like the style as much as I like the huge motocross style lenses - these lenses are more like sunglasses and would probably give a serious impairment to vision...
