I dont know much about powder coating.....is it durable? If I get the field strip screws powder coated how long could I expect it to last?

Yes, how about:

1) The sear pin
2) The rail bushing
3) The trigger pivot pin
4) The foamie
5) The trigger frame safety
6) The carbon fiber trigger frame

Sorry Jay, I had to do it ;)

Smarta$$... :D

As for powdercoating, it is a baked on enamel finish and is very durable. Much more so than paint.

Powdercoating will actualy last longer than Ano. It will not rub off and is also very difficult to scratch.

Can u color match as well as anno?

Can anyone reccomend someone to powdercoat just the heads of 3 field strip screws red?

Powder coating majorly throws off tolerences though. :(

Have them tape off just the heads and you could do it... The tolerances are the shaft and the threads. So don't coat those.

And its a Plastic Coating is what it is...

Jayloo,
Eastwood Co. used to carry anodize spray paint that, from what I've heard, worked pretty well.
The only problem I see with powdercoating the field strip screw is that the powder will fill some of the knurling causing a smoother, slippery surface to grip.

But, if you want to give it a try PM me.

since we are on this subject, can you anno titanium?

Hexis
06-22-2004, 03:42 PM
Yes, but it works differently than Al. You set the color with the voltage you use. You can't do fades and the such since you don't dye the color in.

so lets say if i wanted to get my marker annoed blue, the color of blue would be lighter or darker just depending on what voltage is used, cool.
