Can't go wrong with a new Sterling for 230 from Bunker Boyz...

Vert feed, 45 grip, and a buttery smooth pump stroke. the trigger is great too..

Phantoms are nice too... as are Snipers... but out of the box the Sterling is a better cost vs performance buy.

trracers/tagmasters are simple, cheap, and easy to use. Great for someone who just wants to mess around with pump markers

Find a nice used phantom or just get a new one. There awesome rigs. I own two.

Check out bunkerboyz.com for colors and such.

I LOVE my phantom. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to get into pump play, or even paintball in general.

I personally like my AM-P Illusion, but seeing that K2/WGP is going all SP on everyone now... You may have a problem getting your hands on one. Other than that I too would reccommend the Sterling or Phantom. Have fun checking the pumps and the pump world.

you can build a sniper for under 200$ if you are fairly patient and willing to shop around.

This is true. In fact, I've just finished doing it. I'm looking forward to trying it out during my next day of rec. play.

Phantoms and Sterlings are excellent. As is the Illusion (but hard to find now). Be careful on ebay. I"ve found most phantoms sell for close too or more than buying a new one. The PGP 2k is a good pistol. But they are not in production anymore. Also the Phantom and sterling have a few more options than a PGP. PGP you are pretty much stuck with 12g. Unless you want to have a custom shop do some work on it.

If you *really* want cheap, get a black Tigershark (not a clear one) and polish the bore of the stock barrel with some plain, white toothpaste. Sturdy, reliable, accurate, cheap - with a Saber bolt, you can make the velocity adjustable as well. Not the smoothest pump, but definitely something to bang around with.

Phantoms are nice. Customizable, lightweight, all around good gun. I'm gonna pick a VSC up in a few weeks to mess around with.

In a day and age were it's all about the all mighty buck, with companies suiting eachother, cheating, online theft, gun that's trade hands 5-6 times before they ever see REAL action, 30 bps, force feed hopers and 3000$ setups the only way to leave an impression at the end of the day is to go old skool and kick butt too yet. I've had my share of high ends and none were as much fun as my phantoms.
