I want a reg that works as a screw in...i wanna be able to screw a preset tank into this reg and then adjust the pressure via the reg...do such things exist?

edit: The reason for this is to lower the input pressure into the valve to help prevent bounce...effectively turning a screw in preset into an adjustable tank!

Yeah, Palmer sells them... it'll be a form of the Stabilizer reg... lemme see if I can find a link

Here ya go... Female Stabilizer (http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/online-catalog/stabilizer-female.htm)

PMI THOR reg.

i heard they are heavy and poopy as regs.

while those are good suggestions...is there anything any smaller/ that would be compatible with my Xmag and a Endo cradle? gosh that would be useful...

or should i get an inline reg and somehow attach it to the tank and run some macro up under the tank cover and put it there?

There's no need for a regulator on an XMag... it has it's own internal reg... just screw your tank in and you're done.

thanks...i know that..but i have a preset tank

and want to be able to adjust without buying a new tank...thanks though:)

Well, then you're going to really run out of options... you may want to get a unimount and try sliding the stabilizer in that... that's really about it.

Lets say you have a preset tank with a 800psi output...somthing like the Palmer reg wont let you adjust anything higher than the tank output would it? And anything less would just starve the XMAG? Is this correct, anyone?

correct, if you wanted to get higher pressure in the gun for more reactivity you would need an new bottle reg, something like and old max-flo wil go higher, many of the regs now are 1000 or less for tuning down the pressure not up.

thanks guys...obviously i want less pressure...mags run fine off of 650 psi...

All you are going to do is starve the valve. What benefit do you think you are going to get by adding a third regulator to the mix?

no reactivity...

i wanna starve the valve just enuf so that it can't bounce!

duh!

and i dont care about the BEST consistancy in the reg...if its +- 30 psi each time..then i am happy

cuz i know that will be enough to stop the marker from bouncing 90% of the time!

IMO the THOR is a decent option, or if you want to do a little more work, find a bottomline maxflo (the one that u screw any tank into) - they'll usually come on imps and old shockers, take it and get the HP spring from smart parts and replace the 250 PRV with a 1/8" NPT plug

THOR would be cheapest and easiest route, plus its not 3" tall on an endo cradle

edit: or get a sideline stab. thats directly connected to the valve, and then your preset feeds that

Actually, I hadn't thought about that... he said he wanted something for his tank to screw into and I didn't even think of that. If you have to get another reg in there, I'd definately go with this route if you *must* get another reg in there.

Personally, I'd just play in E-Mode until you can save up enough to buy an adjustable tank

I agree with this.

If you are having problems with refs at tournies then either take the selecter knob off or take the trigger rod out.

taking the trigger rod out doesn't work... you can't properly crono the marker if you don't have it..

Check out our Doolie Regulator.

www.centerflagproducts.com

It has a dovetail mount and you can screw a tank directly into it.

I guess I've never had a ref properly crono my E-Mag anyway so I didn't really consider it.

I was about to suggest the Doolie, I have heard good things about them. And it's centerflag, I have had great times with their products.

i forgot about that, but yeah, thats a better reg than the THOR
