Lots of talk about masks lately, thought I'd bring this up.

Shortly after I started playing SCOTT (i think it was scott) came out with this mask system that looked like a cats face. I believe it was the stalker system but again I could be wrong. Anyway, I always wanted one but I never had the money.

Does anyone have a good picture of one of these? Know where one is for sale?

If you look closely you can see a guy who is wearing one in one of Tygers "old-school" fims.

Link is Here. (http://www.webdogradio.us/video/oldschool/AmazingAmerica.wmv)

Tha'ts NOT ME!!!!

The guy in that mask owns a field near St. Paul, MN on the Wisconsin side. I think that his mask was custom made for him.

That's him in 2002.

I forget the technique, but it'd be interesting to replicate it on a V-force shield or something.

I'd look at some Cat Halloween masks for a start. Maybe you could adapt that to a mask frame. It would probally need to be made of a better material thou......

Heck that would be good for any "theme" mask. NinjaMorph :ninja:

I know it's a little off topic, but that was an AWESOME vid. The best part is when the describe speedball as "a warm-up for the real thing."

WOW! I can't believe you found those!

Thanks Tyger. Too bad the phone number doesn't work anymore though :(

I won't give up though I'm going to continue tracking them down.

edit: as far as making a custom one, yeah it could be done (plastic resin mold of a holoween mask mabey) but i think finding one of the originals would be more fun.

The english number still works but you have to know that the area code as been changed to since that ad came out ;) but then although it rings it has been engaged for the last hour...though it is very doubtful that the same people live there now.
To do the animal face isn't difficult, there must be more than one or two Warhammer fans on AO who have the skills to use the modelling putty. Some time ago (I'm sure Tyger either linked to it or at the least took part in the thread) there was a guy who was cutting up Halloween masks and fitting them on paintball masks. plus only very recently there was also that site where you could buy the horns and studs to add to the mask. I wouldn't go the route of the full face mask though as the ventilation would be servely restricted. Of course any of the options above would only apply for use in a rec or senario games as most all tournaments follow the PSP/NPPL rulings about "unaltered from the factory" with regard to goggles.
