How old are your school's macs?

OS 9 or below, most likely.

Mac OS X is something to behold. Go to a CompUSA or Apple Store and spend an hour or so playing on one.

Let's put it this way. I was able to teach someone who was 76 years old how to use OS X in one hour, while I tried to teach her Windows XP for over a month, and she still could not use it properly.

That is the true test my friend. They are truly simple. Go to apple.com/switch (I think) and you can get some good explanations.

http://www.maccentral.com (I think there are 2 "C"s there, but I don't know for sure)

Dell computers are mass produced pieces of GARBAGE, built with NO-NAME parts that are garbage.

BTW, there are over 10,000+ programs for OS X, plus freeware etc. That's a whole hell of a lot.

Hehe.

PCWorld just named OS X #1 the other day.

This is the kind of icon quality in the dock:

Just wait until you see the Garageband one...

It comes with all kinds of software. Namely iLife. Garageband lets you make your own music. iTunes organizes all music. iPhoto, self explanatory. iMovie, very friendly video editing. iDVD makes that DVD!

Then you have Safari, Mail, iChat, iChat AV, Adress Book, iCal, etc. Very cool.

Coolest feature: Expose and Sticky Notes.

Depending on who you've been listening to, odds are you've inadvertently acquired some serious misconceptions about Macs. Before we delve into what makes a Mac a Mac, let's deal with those misconceptions and set the record straight.

This first one is the easiest to dismiss. At last count, there were ten thousand applications native to OS X. That's a staggering figure, and your choices are anything but limited. All of the PC staples — Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Halo, and yes, even Photoshop — are available on the Macintosh. There is also a slew of Mac-only apps that I think are vastly superior to their Windows counterparts. Of the ten applications I currently have open, only two are available on the PC. (And one of them is iTunes!)
