i also love the fact, that he thinks the police cruisers arent modified what so ever. The crown vic police cruiser, and the caprice, are tuned and suspended, specifically for the police needs.

I really wish this idiot would go speeding through SCSU (Southern Connecticut State University), and that my uncle Dave would be the cop to pull him over. :D

Oh, and here's a news flash for that mental midget. You may be able to outrun a cop car, but you can't outrun a radio.

Not really the caprice only had 220hp, if he had a 350 he has up to 25hp on the cop. If he has a 1LE then he has a better suspention then the cop. On the camaros the BC4 (police) package was available and sold the general public (of course they didn't get any of the fancy lights and sirens though).

Its fairly easy to get away. They just show up at your house a couple hours later and arrest you, much simpler then endangering everyones lives.

Oh, someone told me he was in an 86 Iroc, so no 1LE, and no BC4 Irocs were made so his suspention if he has maintained it is probably on the same level as the police ones.

AHAHAHAHA the guy was talkingabout how going 90 is really fast for a car and his sweet ride does it, my 2 door explorer hits 90 easily.

edit- i jsut got done listing to it, the best part had to be when he was liek "does your car have a chain wheel, mine does". Or the comment "if u got a 20 min ride why not shut her up and put her to somethig usefull".

Thank God someone else figured it out.

There are stupid people out there, but c'mon. Phil is hilarious though, I love how he gets a rise out of callers with his out of the park off the wall fake conversations.

One show was about a citizen's police force in California that was arresting people who didn't buy girl scout cookies...

I have a chain sterring wheel, cool mud flaps and cool hub caps so you know my car goes alot faster than yours.

I have tinted windows and neons so when a cop does his radar it bounces off and takes the cop cars speed instead of mine.

Man what a retard.

Hmm, you can hardly go by what you see on TV, they only show what will get the best ratings, and they don't have airable footage of most chases, only the ones going on for long enough a helicopter got involved.
That camaro is nothing special... The best it could have is an LS1, guess what, they were available to the public to, actually if you want to get technical that is slower than a factory LS1 because of the equipment they carry and the drag from the light bar.

I did about 150 in my stock 5.0 on the 55 freeway here in California. I flew past a cop that I didnt see. The freeway ended in newport beach. While I was stopped at the light all of a sudden a cop came flyin up to my bumper with his lights on. I pulled over and just then a helicopter with search light flew right over us. I assume it was for me. The cop said he had been tryin to catch up to me for quite a few miles but never saw me until he got to the light. He thot I was tryin to evade him. I simply told him that I never saw him and if I was tryin to evade him I probably would have been able to. The cop beleived me and gave me 6 drunk tests which I passed and then the rookie cop with him made him give me the prethalizer. I Barely passed that and was given a ticket for going 95+. I was very lucky and have grown up a lot since this incident. I could have easily been taken to jail. All true.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

you really dont know anything about motors do you?
the motor in the Z06 is a 350 chevy motor, yes a 350 cu small block chevy motor.
it will definatally fit in a camaro.

You realize they don't. I have talked to many people who do maintence on police cars, people who do maintence on them, and those who sell them, and guess what, you could walk into the dealership and get almost the exact same car. Occasionally they will have a bigger batter or alternator for all those lights, somtimes they have better cooling stuff because they are running more than the average car. Other than that there is nothing special about them.

And there is no reason in hell they would put a Z06 motor in a camaro. Why wouldn't they just buy a vette it would probably save them some money over buying a brand new camaro, a new Z06 motor, and paying the mechanics to change it.
Is the Z06 350? I'm pretty sure the LS1 (or was it the LT1) is 348 and they may share the same block.

skife
07-06-2004, 04:44 PM
z06 is a LS6 motor, 5.7 liters, i assume its a 350.
might have different rods or somthing to change the displacement of the motor *shrugs* i dont know.

Ha ha, this guys a real piece of work.

I'll bet if he put some hot rod stickers on his car, it would go even faster.

It is so hard to talk your way out of a speeding ticket, its best to just shut up and hope he is having a good day and will let you off with a warning. Strike up a friendly conversation and find a bit of common ground. He/she will be more apt to let you off if there is a common connection. I have gotten off tickets by being friendly. I have also paid tickets that I knew I could have beaten in court. The radar isn't always right depending on the circumstances and you can challenge it, if you know how to argue it. A little research is all that is needed.

I used to have a suped up high horsepower camaro. It had a top speed of 135mph. There is no way I could out run a cop car. It is not possible in our current society of radio and police networks. Besides, it takes a hugh difference in horsepower to get even a couple of miles per hour faster once you reach the higher speeds.

Radar will reflect off almost any surface. The stealth plane has a combination of nonrelfective coating and odd angles to break up the reflection. I doubt his car had that. LOL. I deal with microwave refecting devices. They will pick up the motion of my hand at quite a distance depending on the sensitivity I set.

"Wait for his girlfriend to finish"? Gimme a break. That would just add a new charge of indecent behavior.

The best I ever saw anyone get out of a ticket was a female friend of mine, Lori. It was at night and she was driving my cousins souped up camaro (1981 350-4 spd). We met a police cruiser in town limits. We were doing about 50mph in a 30mph zone so the cop put his lights on and proceeded to turn around. She guns the car to get away. Then we come to an abrupt slowdown for a 90 degree sliding turn down a sidestreet and then quickly into a driveway. All this is before the police car gets turned around. The guys are thinking, "OH crap! We're in trouble now." The police car pulls into the driveway behind us. The cop gets out, strolls up the our car, and knocks on the window.

Lori rolls down the window and says "Hi officer, what can I do for you today?" (In a ditzy blond type of voice)
Cop: "I think you were speeding a bit back there."
Lori: "Really, It won't happen again. I'm really sorry."
Cop: "Can I see your licence?"
Lori: "Here it is. I'm really sorry. I promise to never speed again."
Lori: "I'm so ashamed. Please don't give me a ticket."
Lori: "It's not my car. I don't know what to do. I promise to take it easy from now on."
Lori: "Please, please...I know your a nice guy.
Cop: "I'm gonna let you off with a warning. Take it easy from now on."

We couldn't believe it. It was interesting to say the least. I certainly never would have attempted an evasion. I know I would have gotten charged.

You can get away from the police, very easially actually. You really think they want to get into a high speed chase endangering your life, there own life, and the lives of others? I think most of the time they will just take down the plate number and arrest you later that night. Unless they want you for somthing besides speeding then you might get into a nice little chase. I think many departments are adopting a no chase policy of sort.

skife
07-08-2004, 09:11 AM
not our department.

this kid i go to school with got a ticket, his dad said if he got another one that he would take his lisence and car away(he drives a mustang of sorts)

so he is driving somewhere one night and is probably speeding knowing the kid, the cop chased him at 100+mph for about 5 miles, there were about 5 crusiers in the picture in the paper, needless to say the kid is now facing up to 2 years.
