I dont think it can be done without a special plug. I just ordered one off of the AGD online store. The RH ones are sold out, so if you are right handed you have to pay an extra dollar for the LH one. It's like $16 so it's not that expensive. You are better off buying it than trying to rig something up inside the gripframe.
