Ok so im wondering how the Viking operates I went to there website and it says it can do 13bps so im thinking either this is an old version or it just an un updated site. So Gimee your knowlede on this marker.

13bps w/ no eyes or if the paint covered your eyes (changes to bypass mode sets to 13bps when you chop). With eyes the viking ROF is unlimited. Their are videos of people shooting vikings at 40cps and about 31ish bps :). Probably most efficent and fastest marker out there. Its ugly though. Never had a problem with mine. I'm thinking about selling it though even though its so perfect.

I had the pleasure of playing my last tourny with a PBX Viking Im currently in the process of trying to con from him.... I gotta say... It was deffently shooting over 13bps without eyes... I was getting that nice constant stream ala laser effect and getting over half a case a 5 min game, and having plenty of air left to shoot another quarter case or so on a 45/45

Ugly?

Best gun out there. Well, tied with the Excalibur.

Now, for the serious answer. Its an electro pneumatic, like most other high end guns. Its a realtively conventional hammer valve design, kind of like the angels, but it is VERY well machined, and uses the best parts out there. In fact, there really isnt a need to upgrade any parts that are on it, as they are the best of their kind, ie lpr, bolt, reg. It also has nice quality touches like a manifold mounted solenoid rather than the hose and barbs.

The viking is as fast as any other gun out there, and is probably the most efficient gun right now. Original owners also get a lifetime warranty on parts.

If you have any specific questions, please PM me. Im a big AKA nut :tard:

o'h burn!!!!

"shut up your armor is pink" (ok, random Red vs Blue quote lol. )

But anyway, I think the only bad thing about the Viking would be its weight, which isn't really that bad at all compared to some other markers.

ha steel well thats not ugly duh but my unmilled is sorta I get tired of it. I just put new stickies and unimount on it and that helped a lot. If anyone is interested Ill probably have my gat for sale soon fastest legal setup out there :D. Weights not bad about 2.12 pounds I think. I need something not as bulky... I dunno I need to try something new again.

yes, as gtrsi, leatherpants, and so many others have stated, vikings are horrible markers. or something like that.

I still happen to think that my DC vike is sexier than the Featherlite that Steelrat posted.. but hey, i *may* be a little biased.

as far as the operation of the viking, you may want to check out all this documentation off of the AKA site, http://akalmp.com/documentation.htm. It will give you a good idea of the operation of the marker itself.

you said you wanted to try something new, and not bulky? may i reccomend the dm4? skinny, not too tall at all, and fast as all get out. i think you wil like it

bunkermaster10

I'm actually thinking about it. How much do they weigh? Better be light!

SlipknotX556

DM4's are about 2.3 pound with barrel and reg. If you really want light, I think 03 shockers are very light, but I am not sure.

Chicago Pb 7

Shockers are very light and compact and if you get the new bolt it will be alot more efficient, they are pretty fast stock but you can get the tadao board for it when it comes out if you want even more speed.

magman007
07-14-2004, 08:45 PM
Yes, but the shockers have some reliability issues. Trust me when i say get the dm4. I was just in this boat, had enough $$$ to get what ever marker i wanted, and i chose, the Dm4, i felt it was the best marker available, and i still feel that way

If you want light, reliable, fast, efficient... everything a sick gat should be, get an Alias.

Steelrat

On PBN, several of the AKA users went to DM4s. They sold the DM4s rather quickly, and most came back to the AKA guns.

bunkermaster10

Shockers are ok super light but IMO need a better board to be as fast as other highend markers out there now. Lol some dude just offered me a Dm4 for my viking...gonna check it out. 2.3 pounds wish it was lighter... lighter than my viking though.

I wish i could see a viking or excalibur, but is the cyborg not the fastest gun out right now or was i just following the hype.

Steelrat
07-14-2004, 11:43 PM
They ALL can shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger. It all really depends on what trigger setup works best for you. Don't buy a high end gun because someone says it can shoot faster than the rest. Instead, evaluate how it feels in your hand, its reliability, its durability, its features, and its efficiency.

Check them all out if you can..then go from there. I prefer this marker though:
