Uh oh, here we go! Technically this is not breaking the forum rules because you are asking how do you become a moderator vice if you can be a moderator, though that is a little bit of my step-father's lawyering influence on me. It is against forum rules to request to become a moderator. I do not know why, but it is.:p :p

Here are some rules that everyone probably should know about being a mod.

1. Check as many posts as possable for inapropriate material.
2. Know all the rules.
3. DON'T ASK TO BE A MODERATOR!!!]

I hoped that helped. :)
I too want to be a moderator, but I don't have the cleanest record, but I will never ask to be one because that will automaticly make them think "Ya right, You a mod? lol" well you get the idea, well I supose I will never be a mod, HINT HINT.

I've never been a mod...I cant say I really want to that much, tho I am on the forums 24\7, I am not sure I could read every post.

I have set up a program - yes sir - now ANYONE can become a moderator - just send me a check for $1000 per week if you want to be a moderator and you too can edit and delete posts on a whim. Yes sir, all the power you want, as well as the resentment of your peers - all for the low low price of $1000 a week!

Email me for details!

1000.00 a week??? Heck, that's a bit stingy on your part. I'm still waiting for my free toaster for my 100th post.:D :D

(OK all, this is a joke...no flames.)

So Steve does that mean I can reduce the $1500 I have been sending you to $1000? Or is it just me? ;)

I cannot believe that anyone in their right mind would want to be a moderator. Having to be the heavy when one of the AOers gets out of line; editing and monitoring all of the message boards; taking the heat of members who wish you would assume room temperature due to some thread you may or may not have locked and or edited. I would rather not have to deal with the headache.

So, if asking to be a moderator ensures that you will never become one, the following question is begged: May I, ben_JD, become a moderator?

This is in no way a slight to those of you who take the time to moderate. It is a necessary role that you play well. Without your oversight, this would be a more nasty and brutish place.
