best place to download steam

I re-installed half life on my computer so i could play counter strike and digital paintball, could anyone give me the best links to download the two of them. And for steam, i mean like a dedicated, fast download, not just a link to a page with a bunch of lists. i want to get it where someone who is currently playing got it.

P.S. I live on the east coast if that will help with anything.
