What marker is LIGHTER than a mag? I just weighed mine and it's 1lb 14oz.

What is lighter than that?

It's a serious question. What does a new shocker weigh?

False...

I dunno exactly, but in general mags are actually considered the heavier guns of today's marker selection (a few cases may apply where some people have all-ule guns)

I THINK the 03 shockers are lighter, not 100% sure though. :ninja:

It wasn't a statement but a question. So that doesn't make sense.

Well start listing markers that are lighter.

(I'll actually try to help you out)

It depends on the mag. No mag is the lightest marker on the market, but with a bunch of ULE parts and an xvalve on them, they get pretty lightweight. I believe the lightest guns right now are the highly milled timmies, 03 shockers, and the AKA viking.

(OK, I lied about one of those)

What do those markers weigh?

When I am finished, I doubt there will be an out-of-the-box marker lighter than the mag.
I beleive it :headbang: :D

the icd freestyle is lighter than your mag, they say it weighs 1.8 pounds, and if you do the math the mag comes out to 1.875 pounds, therefor the freestyle is lighter but only by a little, here is a link to were i found the weight click here for the info ;) (http://www.actvil.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=dKPHL6ESNo3HoeASO8IHh6vbCms723hYPOs=?Pro ductID=UKusFAY73JwAAAD77yiITYPi)

you got to remember though, manufacturors like to weigh their guns without barrels and sometimes without regs. So their weight they print may be with some missing parts

That's funny, Spyder and lighter kinda rhyme.

Anyways, there's probably no real lightest marker because all of them can be set up different. Even if all the guns were stock, some guns come with different stuff stock. And eve nteh upgrades for different guns weigh differently.

The only real way to find the lightest I suppose would be to set it up the way you like it, then see which ones are the lightest. Just as the way Jack & Coke's post shows.

My weight was without the barrel or anything. Just the ygrip, rougurail, x, ulewarp, homemade foregrip extender and rougegrip.

I think that's the only meaningful way to compare marker weights.

I don't doubt this at all. My RogueMag (With Rogue's Vertframe, Feedneck, and foregrip) ULE body, and X-Valve, everybody in every proshop that I have taken it to have said it's one of the lighest setup they have ever held. It's only gonna get better.

My Shocker with drop and On/Off is 36oz or 2.25 lbs. That is without the barrel. It weighs a little more than advertised!
My Ule mag with rail, body, X and hyperframe is 34oz or 2.125 lbs. An Intelliframe would be even lighter than the Hyper.
The E-mag will always weigh more because of the 13oz battery.

I need to trade in my Steel Tank for a Fiber Wrapped one. That's where like 70% of the weight comes from. :/

Sidekick semi is probably the lightest semi, and it's a blow-forward too. Metal marker? I'd say a phantom is probably the lightest, and if you get somebody like Pun or somebody to semi-automatize a phantom, that's pretty darn light.

You would be suprised how much less it would way with a different tank setup, less chrome, drop the gas through, and an all Al barrel.

clean mag none the less

Holy crap people, is there something wrong with you guys?

My ALL STEEL RT PRO weighs about 7 pounds FULL. THAT MEANS FULL TANK AND FULL HOPPER.

I mean, I have an SS body, SS rt valve, stock non-ule rail, y-grip, stock barrel, and a custom "bike grip" style foregrip. MY FREAKING STEEL TANK FLATLINE WEIGHS MORE THAN MY GUN. WTF are you guys doing to get these weight numbers?????

My Mag without barrel, tank and hopper (but WITH a bullet drop) weighs 2 pounds 4 oz. That's lighter than an Alias, but not as light as a Shocker. The Naughty Dog's Timmy is by far the lightest gun, it weighs like 1 pound 3 oz. or something like that.

Of course there are lighter guns. Ever held a turtle cocker? Its like an extention of your hand, not a gun, its tiny, probobly the best feel of a gun I've ever had. It has to be under a pound.

Wholly crap, even I didn't think it weighed 10 Lbs!!

I'm not kidding, once I find a digital scale, I'll re-weigh it for exact weight and post a pic.

Looks like AO is turning into PBN.

Anyways, one of my pet peeves is people saying "My paintball gun is lighter than yours." Think about it, does 1 or 2 ounces, even pounds, effect your playing at all? If it does, you should seriously stop playing paintball and take some "How to be a man" courses at your local community college. Seriously.

:spit_take Heh, I like that one!
Personally, part of the reason I first got a Mag was the considerable heft. To me, weight=quality. Now, I know that my reasoning may be somewhat flawed, but on a subconscious level I simply prefer heavier guns. And if you guys think Mags are heavy, my A-5 makes my steel bodied/steel valved Automag seem like Calista Flockhart in comparison. That thing is a friggin’ cinderblock!

Oh wow, a whole 1/4 Lb! Gah!

I'd like to say I almost agree with smurf. If its heavy, its gotta be good. So what if I lug around a 10 lb gun everywhere. I can HANDLE it. If your gonna go brag how light your gun is, then good for you.

It's pathetic, I'se seen tourney players that take the sight rail off of RT Classics just to make it lighter while completely destroying the look of the gun, IMO.

Point is, if you're gonna complain about that whole extra ounce or two that you have, just remember this.....

Cowboy up!
