Ok I just got my ule body and I'm trying to get it on my minimag rail but the piece that used to hold the twist lock barrel is getting in the way.. I removed the spring and stuff but the actuall stuff the spring and barrel detent is in, is still in the way of the body being flush with the rail.. how can I remove this??

turn your rail upside down, and hit it with a hammer until it pops out the other side.

Its pressed in and using a hammer probably wont work too well. I have the same problem and used a hand press to get it out. If you dont have one good luck with using a hammer. If you do use a hammer dont hit the assembly directly or you'll probably bend it.

Be careful not to damage ur rail but you have to hit it HARD.

ya wrap the area in elect tap so ya don't scratch it if you accadently hit the rail

I had this problem too. Spray it with a little W-D40, flip it over on a couple blocks of wood ( as close to the detent as possible) get a piece of metal or ballpeen hammer put that against the detent ,then whack it with the other hammer. Work well for me and I dind't mushroom the detent .

it took my friend an hour or so to do this and he scratched his rail up. I just removed mine a half hour ago by placing it on a towel and wacking the back part of the detent a few times. Mine popped right out no problem.

Use a chisel and hit the chisel with hammer and that should poke the twist lock out.

PS a screwdriver can double as a chisel

I would use a clamp or something that can squeeze out the detent rather then hit it with a hammer. i did it with mine and it worked. plus I sold the detent to some guys at one of my local fields. He bought it from me for 20 bucks. :D
