Probably the newer trendy electros. I'm guessing DM4's, various new timmies, maybe AKA markers (due to the SP lawsuits and such) probably have high resale because they arein high demand

Phew - this is tough.

My guess is the AKA Viking.

Imps hold their resale pretty well. It's been going down a little, but it doesnt drop too much.

anything used sells at close to 100% resale...

if its used or used, your buying it used... whether it was used by 2 people or 10 people, its considered "used"...

I like mech mags, because if I buy one used, I can sell it for the same price that I bought it for... I've had 4 mags alltogether, I just buy one when I feel like it, then when I need money, I'll sell it... they sell for the same price as when I bought it and no one cares how many times I used it...

so my answer to your question is anything used.

What ever is in style like the Angel 4 Fly, DM4, Alias, and maybe some markers no longer in production like the X-mag.

Id go with a matrix...It can pretty much be upgraded to a new one by just switching the board.
for example if you bought a old led matrix for 400$
added a tadao board ($100) & eye-system ($150) you could easily sell it for $700+

That's not what he's looking for. He's asking which marker will keep it's resale value, not what you can make the best profit on. Great, you buy a Matrix LED for $400, then put $250 into it, so now you've spent $650, and you're gonna try to sell it for $700... making you a grand total of $50 ... that's barely worth the time.

I'd say any "custom" version of a gun. This would include a Joy divison A4, pretty much all the Shocktech guns, and pretty much all the Warped Sportz guns just to name a few. You have to be careful though, what might have good resale value now might be worthless in a few months. It all matters what is the flavor of the month, look at what happened to Angels (especially the older iR3's and LCD's).

vikings have gone up in price incrediably. i remember when there was an unmilled diamond dust viking for sale for $500, you wont find that anymore.

its not uncommon to find WAS'ed vikings 1+ years old selling for around 8-850. Heck new 04's are going for 925. Not a bad deal considering you could buy an 02 viking for 825 (I think) and sell it two years later for 800. Dont even get me started on custom viks, I think there are more than a few people that made money on those deals

Pretty sure anything PPS, Percision Arrow, and works/ccm (sometimes) all have great resale.

Little note on AGD:
I think Emags, all ULE, are selling pretty well, xmags on the other hand.... Take a look at SFL sales, there are only 35 and its still pretty tough to sell those for 1k, considering they were 1400+ new.

Little advice on resale, the best is either trendy or rare. the difference is the trendy stuff sells high now, dm4 and timmies, but once they fall out of sync there dam near worthless, read here any angels. Now rare guns will always be worth something, problem is finding someone who is willing to purchase it for that price; PPS stuff, aftermarket vikings. From an investment standpoint dont buy a gun over 500 bucks. you can usually get about 75-80% of the "new cost" back when you resell it. For example you purchase a b2k5 w/ pds for 500, two years later you can easliy sell it for 375~400 bucks. Now lets say you buy an empire timmy, 1500, and lose that same percentage on resale, 1125 (if your lucky), you just lost nearly 400 bucks.

At the price You, Sneaky and myself are paying for our Featherlights we could add on $200 and turn around and sell them easily. The kits didn't get the $100 SP fee added to them and our dealer must be getting bulk pricing on milling and possibly anodizing from those previous 15+ team guns.
Though I'm with gtrsi on this one, I'll be buried with my Viking, and Emag. :argh:

Mark is so damn busy and never answers me. So I may have a special NINJA :ninja: scoping out AKAlmp today or tomorrow. Maybe get pics before they are sent off. Depends what she has planned before leaving IAO and if she arranged a tour or not with Dan Voils.

I gave an example of a resale...what's the difference if it makes a priofit or not?
-matrices hold their value pretty well even if you dont upgrade them

Buying a Matrix LED for $400 doesn't sound like it held it's value well, does it? The example you gave is like me saying "Go on ebay and find a cocker for $200, put an E-Blade on it ($400), then sell it for $650" ... the gun still has horrible resale any way you look at it. If you took a Matrix which is around $825-850 new, put $100 into it (now around $925-950) and selling it for $700 .... losing $225-250 ... that's not great resale IMO.
