That actually sounds very interesting. Food has always been one of my favorite things, and I aint picky about it either. set a plate in front of my, and chances are slim I'd turn it away. I love foods of other cultures, too. I think my fav is Greek... so far. ;)

I dont have to go all the way to Japan to get eel, do I?

I wonder if the loacal fishmart has any...

It's been rainy out here in west hell too. Un-characteristically so, but I'm not going to complain. I like the cooler than average wether.

I just laugh when they complain about record highs of 103.1

anybody else remember that week of 110+ about 5 years ago?

That was fun stuff. People passing out from heat exhaustion right and left...

My Grandmother lives in San Angelo (about 2.5 hours south/south-east of you, assuming you're in Lubbock) She's 80+ years old, and say she cant remeber a time when it rained so heavily for as long as it has this past week...

You guys need it, tho... Its dry over thar

man this has been one of the best summers in Iowa I can remember. We just barely touched the 90's this year. We did have some days with some 90% relative humidity but they are also very few. I just bought a new air conditioner last year towards the end of the summer and though hte plus size beast would anihilate the heat this year. But the weather has been VERY barable. Infact the only reason I got a burn was because I spend a week framing and roofing for a relative.

I love eel. I am a huge fan of sushi and whenever I go i have to get a couple orders of eel. Of course in sushi you dont eat the eel raw unlike the many other varieties of sushi. Believe it or not it has a very sweet taste to it...almost like a fishy barbecue.
