I was wondering, I am getting a little 47/3000 in a couple days (Don't try and convince me not to get it :)), and I was wondering if you can take the reg from the little 47 and put it on a, say, 88 ci? That would be cool because then I could switch over later if I needed more air room.

Yes, you can, but not with a Nitro Duck tank, they have differents threads for the reg.
