Well guys, in a few weeks I'm headed to college and the need for a smaller gearbag has come up. Currently I have a Dye Navigator bag, but since I won't have a car for the first semester, I can't bring a ton of gear to the field. I've looked at reviews of all the bags and all of them I have seen seem to be either too big or too small, so I've come to AO for help.

Here's what I'd like to carry to the field:

2 Intimidators
2 Halos
2 68/4500 Tanks (or 1 68 and 1 45)
2 Barrels
5 Pods and a Pack
Allen Keys, crescent wrench, pliers.
and maybe a change of clothes and two 500round bags.

Being lockable is a plus. It doesn't matter to me if my tanks/hoppers/barrels have to be removed.

I can't take anything nearly as big as my Dye Navigator, but I definitely can't take a backpack. Also, it would help if both markers could go inside since I don't know how smart it would be to walk around college campus with a gun on the side of my bag. ;)

Thanks

I can't help you out for suggestions, but I can help you by buying the navigator off you ;)

$60 will buy you 6 large rolling gear bags. I think that should be enough.

I really hate to kinda Hijack this thread, but I too need help finding a gearbag. I want something that can be used as a Backpack for under a hundred dollars. It needs to carry:

1 Gun (Probably Angel)
1 68/3K tank
2 Loaders (Rico and Revvy)
1-2 masks (preferably 2)
2-3 barrels
1 Jersey
2 Sets of Allen Wrenches
1 Barrel Bag

and thats about it. I do want a paintabll breand one though, since it has all the compartments and stuff. Again, Im sorry to Hijack this thread, but I figured since someone had made a thread like this already, It would be useless to make another exactly like it. Thanks!

an NXe gearbag should be big enough while at the same time small enough if that made sense...

just take the top half of your navigator bag.

The top half is huge and heavy enough already. I'm looking for something smaller since first semester I will have to bum rides off of people. I'm sure they don't have SUV type storage space to hold that huge Navigator. I'll hold onto that one until I get a car second semester. Thanks for the suggestions

Magman, if that is directed at me, the pictures don't look like it could hold two marker setups. Are you sure they can?

I am in the same exact boat rdb123, going to college next week and my bag was way to huge for the dorm. I ended up getting the JT medium SUV bag, which is the perfect size.
It holds both my empire and matrix, tank, halo, evo2, pods, pack, shoes, 2 jerseys, mask, toolbox and has 4 side pockets for tools and barrels.

Thanks for the suggestion Crazy. The problem is I actually have the following total gear, but can't bring it all to the field obviously:

3 Intimidators, pumpmag, ULE Pro
3 Tanks
4 Hoppers
Tools, 12 pods, etc.

I just want to be able to bring 2 setups to the field. :)

Maybe not exactly what your looking for but hockey companys make some pretty big bags.

I know this was only posted today, but how much do you really think those bag from eBay will hold? I mean, I know it says the measurements are 30x16x14, but is that really enough room to put all the gear in comfortably? As it is, I'm using a huge rubbermaid-like tub and a huge duffle bag... although it works, I'd rather have something a bit more manageable.

I can get another deal like the one Tony got... If I pick it up, I'll probably have 3-4 left. Would anyone want to pick up the rest?

Fallnangel, if you don't get that deal, We can meet up at badlandz and you can check out a bag for yourself, and btw, I will most likely be at badlandz this weekend. So you can tryout my shocker if you want. Just look for team never.

Sweet, sounds good. If I get enough people to buy up the extras, I'll pick them up... otherwise, I'll just hold off to see what they look like in person first.

You going to be there both days, or just one? I'll only be up there Saturday.

Sunday only, won't have the gear bags with me of course. But you are free to rip some with the shocker

Damn... well, I guess I'll catch you up there some other time then. Thanks anyway.

I highly recommend the Paintball Body Bag

http://www.paintballbodybags.com/

I have one, and they are nice, good rugged construction, hard inserts for keeping gear organized, plenty big enough for 2 markers, case of paint, tools, 2 sets of goggles, 4 tanks, 2 hoppers, clothing, tubes, etc.

Let me know if you are interested in them, there is someone local to me that sells them.

I think those would be alittle to big for what he is looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion, but a little too big. My Navigator is that size.

I have a Ratco gear bag, and I can carry both my warped mags in it, no tanks of course, but I do leave the warps and hoppers attached. With both of those setups in there, I can still add a tank in the middle. You can mount you pack to the side of the pack through loops made for packs. and it comes with a tool bag/binder that attaches to the side of the bag as well. It can hold a lot of stuff, not sure if the Ratco can hold everything you stated but it will hold a lot. Hope this helps some.

Does the Ratco have a shoulder strap?
