Hey guys, I've been debating where this beauty should make it's debut. If it were a mag, there would be no doubt, but the next of the TLC series is a Pro Team Products Micro Cocker. I've decided to post it here first(even before it's on my site) because AO is the best, not to mention the fact that we are not hotheaded about the Mag-Cocker debate like some of the Autococker users out there.
In about two weeks time, I'll be posting pictures of the Micro E-Mag that has consumed over 175 hours of my time so far. It might be better than this one, maybe not...I'll let you guys decide when it's ready.
This took 125 hours to complete and the proud owner is none other than Kirt Cochran, the owner and operater of Rogue Paintball in Standish, Maine. If you wish to see it in person and in action(yes, it's fully operational) Kirt would be happy to show it to you at his shop. You can contact him via his website at www.Roguepaintball.com
So here it, be sure to tell me what you think,

Well...... As usual, very interesting. Not my style, but I admire the time and effort that went into it. I am sure the owner is tickled pink.

Thanks for sharing it with us. :)

Well I be honest I don't like the cockers very much because I can't shoot them, But that is really sweet. I would be proud to own that Marker. I sure can't wait to see what you've done with the mag.

Thanks guys, there is soooo much more to this marker than pictures can reveal, that's why I've invited you all to view it in person for yourself. I know that might not be easy, but at least it's a possibility.
In the future, if you ever hear of a team called Maine Thunder (and you will) showing up at Skyball or other larger events, you will likely see this Micro-Cocker on display.
The Micro-E is looking great, I'm covered in its aluminum splinters as I write this to you.
The E-mag I'm really looking forward to is the new modular body. The more aluminum the better.
Until I get my hands on one of those I'll just have to occupy myself with an Angel that I recently purchased.
These ideas keep popping in my head and I can't stop it!!!
Must carve! Must carve!
Talk to ya later,

That is incredible! The total millwork just boggles the mind. I wonder how much it cost to create this work of art. I would think most of it was created and not milled out from other pieces. Fabulous job!

Actually Dark Phoenix, the only thing that I fabricated from scratch were the grip plates. Here's the list of parts that are purchasable from your local paintball store(carving not included)

Palmer's Micro Regulator
Shocktech Bomb 3-way(or is it 4-way? no one seems to know)
ANS Mini Ram
Non Slotted trigger plate
Belsales Roller Bearing Sear
RAT Valve
Armson Rifled Barrel 8"
Benchmark Trigger Frame(what's left of it)
KAPP Front Block Stainless Screw
The foregrip is ancient, and it is not available anymore, I don't know who made it but it suited my purposes well.

I know you guys all want to know what this costs, and what Kirt paid me.
I don't even know what to charge for something that consumes all of my nights, my sanity and everything else in my life. What's important is that I am loving every second of it. No other project has ever given me such satisfaction. It is simply fascinating and thrilling for me. I have dreams about this stuff!!! I seriously cannot stop, nor do I want to.
Kirt has paid dearly for this, trust me. Being associated with or knowing me is not easy.(ask my wife!)
The Micro-Cocker belongs in his shop for many reasons, too many to list. The most important of which being that it is on display for all to go and see.
Please do!
Dan

looking back at the pics again i think the grip frame is the best part on that gun. Dan if you do make an Emag like that then i think that the coolest thing to do would be to do is to make the abttery pack just like the grip frame on that cocker then if you can do it to the Emag grip then do a 3d pattern like that on the body and ano the indents black or sumthing. That would look so sweet!:D

Why do indents? He should just do what he did to the micrococker...Exposing it all for the world to see...

good point i forgot the whole thing was enclosed but i dont think you would be able to expose the electronics...

well, how does it shoot?

i would be afraid to play with that. think of all the places that dirt can get in... with my style of sliding around and diving everywhere, i would last about 10 seconds with that.

That's awesome.

What machines do you use to mill that? I can use regular vertical and horizontal millers, and lathes, but I cant even think of how you would make that on those machines?

Gimp,

All that is HAND DONE! Imagine carving a block of wood, now substitute a dremel tool and a block of aluminum.

Amazing work, glad we have people who are passionate abou their work hanging out here!

Gorgeous doesnt begin to describe its (IMO) elegance and beauty. It DOES remind me of some kinda hellish spawn but in a good way. Also reminds me of castle of grayskull from He-Man for some odd reason
Mr. Dan, A hearty round of applause and a tip: Insure those million dollar hands of yours ;)

Maghog
10-21-2001, 08:41 PM
mac2k4-the powerfeed is part of the original Pro Team design. It wasn't my idea, I just work with what is there.
Your words mean a lot to me guys, I can''t wait to get the E-Micro up here...it's in the polishing phase now so it'll only be a few more days.

that thing belongs in an air tight, bullet proof, fire proof glass case with 2 heavily armed security guards standing by 24/7 next to it.

truly an unbelivable piece of art. the fact that its a paintball gun makes it so much more apealing to me. I can just hope to one day own one or more of these TLC guns.

dan, keep up the amazind work. make sure you let us know how the angel comes out, cause that I want to see. later AZZKIKR

I just have a question for Dan after looking at this thing some more...

the body and such are shiny, but have slight scratches from the sculpting, I assume. The 3-way, on the other hand, appears water-smooth.

Is this because of the way the metal is, different polishing, or just funky camera glare?

Oh, and are you at all influenced by HR Giger when you do these TLC designs? The similarities seem pretty strong.

Hmm... carving competition between Dan and HR Giger :)

(For those who don't know, HR Giger is a sculptor. If you've ever seen Jonathan Davis (of Korn)'s custom microphone stand, you've seen HR Giger's work.

Geiger is an awesome artist, and I am honored to have my work put in the same boat with his. My inspiration for this work comes from the gut. I don't let anything influence me really, I just go to town and see where the cab takes me.
Thordic, the difference in shine that you noticed(good eye!) is largely my fault. In theory, different grades of metal will finish differently. Thus, a palmer's reg may be made of a material which is gets a finer finish than a milled body.
Truthfully, one got polished and handled considerably less than the other. The scratches(though very fine(once again, good eye!)) come from excessive handling.
Guys, if you're waiting for the E-mag, I think most of you may have overlooked it. The topic title is:
Quite possibly the most customized gun in paintball....part 2
I don't have a link available, and there's only a few pics for now, but I'd still like to hear what you guys have to say.
I know I commonly ask for feedback, but man Thordic, you got me goin' with the scratches now.
I won't be able to sleep for days!!!
