I am a long time player and have been getting interested in playing some pump games. Does anyone know of any Illinois groups who still play pump games? I play mostly at Badlandz and PBShooters.

Thanks.

I was just at pbshooters last Wednesday for adult swim ($15 BYOP from 6-10) and I'd like to head down to badlandz sometime this summer (also play at fox paintball)... And I actually had MrJiggers from pbnation playing with me (he was using an sl68-ii).

I play pump/stock class (VSC phantom) almost exclusively. I may be picking up a freestyle or something soon, but I'll always be up for some pump play.

If you have AOL instant messenger go ahead and IM me... My AIM name is: Tyler Donovan

I saw you at PBShooters. I was shooting the silver Speed and was with the guy with the blue A4. Actually, seeing you guys playing pump made me want to start again. I have a SL-68 II.

It is so much fun to play with pumps on a speedball/supair field. I am not a huge fan of pump games in the woods, but that is just me. We should get a group of 10-15 guys and do a private game/outing at Badlandz.

I'd be all for this.

I actually agree... Pumps are more fun for me in speedball than in the woods. And I definitely remember you, and glad to see you interested in playing pump...

PBshooters is supposed to be having a pump only tournament in October... Tyger from Webdog Radio posted a bunch of stuff about it, but I could probably talk to the owner next time I'm there. I actually heard that even big pump teams from the West coast are planning on showing up.

As for a private game at badlandz, I'd definitely be down for that. An easy way to do that might actually be to declare the group of us a team and just play eachother on the speedball fields for a "team practice". That way we can play at our own pace and we won't have to buy/use field paint like the private gamers do.

The "Team Practice" thing sounds like a good idea. Badlandz has so many good fields. We should try setting something up in early September so people can get it on their calendars and we can get enough people to have decent games.

I will probably be out at PBShooters again on Weds. but it depends how busy I get at work.

if you ever saw a kid running around at the badlandz with a dog tied to his nutz or a shirt that reads "please shoot my head" or "moron with gun"....yea that would be me....or if you saw me last sunday i was the guy running around with a giant stick....or i would be the one shooting the referees.

i play pump (i love pump) so count me in :)

So that was you that walked up to the flag station at Paintball Sams for their scenario and pulled a marker out of his pants????

If it was you're lucky my friend tagged you out and the ref's took you out of the game. You had about 35 guns pointed at you when you pulled that marker out.

At least know we know it was a marker .... and that you weren't happy to see anyone.

lol if i at least got 1 person, it would have been worth it (it was a pump marker if anyone was wondering :))

you make it sound like i was escorted out of the game lol. Harry called me out because i was hiding my marker in my pants. then i was reinserted :)

*ahem*

PB Shooters pump only tournament. October 10th. I actually posted it here, (http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=141224), where it's got the whole 'dilly yo. I'll bug PB Shooters about the specifics ASAP. I DO know for fact 3 teams are flying in from CALIFORNIA to play in it.

Fox River Games has a standing offer, if we want to play pump. We can do so there. If you guys want to meet on a weekend, I'll make a few calls and make it happen. Same price as Badlands, BYOP, and they like pump play. THEY HAVE PUMP RENTALS!!! And the field manager wants to play pump too.

I'm all for ANY excuse to break out the Phantom too. Just not this weekend, I'm kinda busy.

I didn't mean to make it sound like that ...

Just that you would have walked away looking like a big welt .... Almost all of us had our guns on you and it looked like you were hiding your marker.

As soon as you made a move to "pull it out" we would have hosed you down. Seeing how we were behind enemy lines and we had taken one of your resupply points, we were all a little itchy. :)

DANCE YOU IDIOT ..... DANCE!!!

:shooting: :bounce:

Just got this Yesterday!!!

Get a hold of the Gunfighters, a very active pump team in the IL area.

The BunkerBoyz guys are all members... and specialize in pump guns and gear...

http://www.bunkerboyz.com/

great bunch of guys, all friends of mine, and the speed and value of their services are hard to beat.

Yeah I met some of the gunfighters at the MXS Old Chicago scenario. They are some really cool guys. Hopefully I'll get to play with them again sometime.

I'd be up for another all pump day at badlandz like the one that was there several years ago. I think the "team pratice" idea is great. We need one of these :shooting: thats using a pump. LONG LIVE THE SNIPER II

We play pump at Sudden Impact, We should have a decent crowd this sunday, and had one 3 weeks ago.

SI, also has pump rentals, and the owner pulls out a tagmaster and shoots with us on the hyperball fields.

We pretty much get to play on any of the fields we want when we do pump.

As for chicagoland. Klatt from the Gunfighters schedules pump games at different fields. So far I think Si, has been the most receptive to pumpers and is planning on "official" pump days every 6 weeks. I will try to get the dates set (since i will most likely be running them).

Hey guys,
Spaceman sent me a link to this thread and I just had to get registered to let you all know that you can check out the GUNFIGHTERS PAINTBALL CLUB at the following address..... www.thegunfighters.org . We are a Chicagoland area paintball club specializing in more of an old school style of pump. We travel around the Chicagoland area to different fields and as far as Sudden Impact..... great field!!! Mostly we play in open games, but we hit a scenario or two per year. MXS's Old Chicago was a great scenario (since the other ones we went to were far inferior in comparison). Check out our schedule on the site and see what we're all about. Thanks, and see you at Shatnerball!!!!
