I just got the game today and installed it. Everything seemed fine, but when i started up the campaign, the hud and textures started blinking in and out. I dont know what the problem is because my comp meets the requirements
system specs:
Asus p4b266-c mobo
Intel p4 2.0ghz running at 1.6
768mb PC2100 RAM(well, one stick is 2700 but the other is 2100)
80gb Western Digital HDD 7200rpm with 65gb free
e-VGA GeForce FX5600XT w/ 256mb RAM, oc'd to:

Core: 311mhz
Memory: 467mhz

It's the video card, FX cards are really crappy, I recommend upgrading, even a Geforce 4 TI4200 would be ok for a while, but for the best you want an x800 XT or 6800 Ultra ;)

Course those are 500-600 bucks... :D

Otherwise update your video drivers

The drivers i have are Nvidia Omega Drivers v1.5672. Could that be the problem?

Many Asus boards are very picky about the dual speed memory. There ar many advisories that say you should have all matching speed and make/model ram. I have 2 asus boards in comps I built.

This may not be your problem for Doom though.
