I am going to get little things for my dorm room. I move in August 28th and I can't wait. My school is really strict about fire codes so lots of things I can't bring. Such as furniture, microwaves, toasters, etc. I can have a certain brand microfridge that i can rent through the school.

As of now I am going to buy:
socks
sheets
pillows
candy (stocking up at sams club)
pajama pants (yep they r pimp)
toothbrush
soap
shampoo
deodorant
AXE body spray
pens
pencils
notebooks
calculator

Already have:
Tv
ps2
sega genesis
snes
nes
n64
Clothes - pants, shorts, shirts, etc
Razors
Ipod
Laptop (My school supplies us with one)

No real point of this thread I guess just curious on what I am overlooking.

Perhaps the four most overlooked items out there..You'll need 'em ALL! Hopefully ;) :D

On a somewhat less-serious not, Personally, I'd avoid shopping for stuff until you got there.
A. So you don't have to haul all that crap to school. Trust me, you're gonna want to haul all that as little as possible.
B. So you know you actually have the space for whatever & whatnot..those things are a lot smaller than you think, but you can make it work if you're creative enough ;)

As for the firecode stuff..heh..yeah, I don't know anyone who's actually followed that. Just make sure whatever contraband you have can't be seen by your RA and all will be well :ninja:

Dorm Fridge and Microwave combo.... Unless they rent them like they do here.

Kegorator even better for popularity!

Cinder blocks and 4X4 posts for rasing the bed up off the floor into a loft. More space underneath there for a work station and desk or storage drawers and stuff.

Yea, loft your bed if you can.

I just bought one of those microfridges with the mircrowave. I paid 350 for it new, it costs 250 a year to rent. Cheaper to buy it in the long run

Make sure you get extra long bed sheets, because you dont know what has been going on in your bed before you got there.
