ok let me say this first...I did a search and couldn't find anything about this...if there is one just tell me i will delete the thread and search harder...

i know that the LX is very good with anti-chop, and i know that it isn't that efficent...

i guess what im trying to say is, would it be alot more efficent if i used a LVL7 blot and eyes instead of using LX? And if its possible could you guys tell me about how many shots i would get with LX out of a 68/45k and how many with LVL7 and the same sized tank?

thanks

The thing about eyes is I'm fairly positive that you need an electronic trigger frame that the eyes "communicate" with. So unless you have a hyperframe or ESP frame mod I wouldn't plan on using eyes with a level 7. The slightly better efficiency of the lvl 7 probably wouldn't be worth the cost of buying a ...say hyperframe unless you had already planned on it.

the whole idea of the devilmag, i believe, is the fact with the break-beam eyes it allows you to run a level 7 foamie rather than level 10, saving the efficiency and the little extra bps.

lvl 7 still isn't all the efficient
if you want effiecency get a different marker

about 900-1000 I think before they start to drop off any.

I had a topic on this started inside a thread for my new DevilMag and bascially came to the conclusion that I should stay with the LX rather than swap it our for a lvl 7 setup.

Apparently the loss in efficiency between LX and lvl 7 is quite smaller than thought and the lvl 7 bolt is much heavier creating a large increase in recoil. Basically, it's not worth it.

dont forget that you can just setup your LX with the small spring, which does help alot in the effiency department. when i switched from lvl 7 to lx , i noticed very little diffirence in shot count , but alot in recoil. i would say best is

LX on small spring
hyperframe
predator board
ACE

you got more recoil with LX?

I think he means he got less. You could also look into getting your bolt polished. That should help some too, though I'm not sure by how much. Black has a thread in the dealer section about it.

You can't run the ACE and Predator Board at the same time. The ACE is its own system and the Predator Board needs its break-beam eyes installed.

With lvl 7 you'll end up breaking more balls in the breach due to the faster bolt speed over lvl 10. Remember that lvl 10 starts off slow and increases speed as it approaches the closed position, lvl 7 is fast from the get go. I'd definitely stick with lvl 10 for that factor alone.

I'd go with the lvl 7 because it is much more simple and reliable. However, lvl 10 can shoot brittle paint without breakage.
