i know that the barrel, size, weight, material, etc. doesn't matter, only the bore. however, everybody uses a barrel, so what it your personal favorite?

Whatever allows me to dump the most money into it as possible, I love draining my wallet on functionally identical tubes designed to fling liquid-filled gelatin balls.

Agreed, I shoot nothing but LAPCO. I'm really sorry, Colin, but I won't buy a SnapShot; the AutoSpirit, BigShot, and MicroShot are so good I have no reason to!

I'm looking for a large (.692+) bore, one piece barrel with cocker threads and at least 8" of unported length. Basically I want a Barrel exactly like my 12" bigshot only with a large bore.

What bore size are palmer barrels?

I was under the influence that shooting ropes is when one shoots so quickly that the paintballs follow each otheri in the sath path, like a string, or a rope.
Oh well.

Yeah you are right. Let me explain better, first he was kind of a newb so he didn't really know his terminology, when he shot it he said, man this thing shoots ropes and i said yeah it's real fast, then he said, no i mean it's accurate. I guess he thought when you shooting ropes it meant that the paintballs went straight like ropes  . At least that's what he thought, lol. But to me it does mean it shoots real fast, sorry for the confusion, lol. Hope that clears it up.

I love my old kaner, but I managed to get a hold of 2 cockers, one came with a Taso Eliminator I think 11" the other a standard cocker barrel :D

I'll let you know, but I'm picking up a 1-piece Ultralite 14" off a friend for 20 bucks... little banged up, but a re-anno will serve it nicely.

And people that say all barrels are the same, are wrong, Take a stock spyder barrel or stock cocker barrel, shoot it on a stand and watch the spread, (Same paint and make sure it's matched) then take maybe a boomstick and compare, it will be much tighter. When you get into differences between Lapco, Dye, Scepter, Kaner, CP... all those guys, it's going to shoot the same, they've pretty much perfected the process, and the only way to make it better is to make well made barrel kits for different paint, otherwise it's cosemetic and weight.

I have a Powerlyte barrel on every paintball gun I own that is capable of switching barrels. That's about 15 guns. The rest are all fixed barrels like my KP-3, P68, Phantom fixed-barrel.
Other great barrels are J&J (Edge or Ceramic), Lapco or Smart Parts (All American). Back in the nineties I really enjoyed Armson barrels too.

When I used twistlock barrels, I had a BigShot and an Autospirit. Loved em both to death.
