Hey, as I am planning on buying a phantom (Specifically, a micro w/45 frame, vsc) and I've been wondering; how do quick changers work?

Simple question.

You unscrew the bottem portion and the empty 12g falls out. Simply put in a new one and screw back in.

Edit- As you screw the peice in, it makes the 12g move up and it's valve is then opened.

Sounds easy enough..

Is 320 a fair price, shipped for one of those? Canadian price.

A micro 45 VSC for $320 CAD? Sounds decent, depending on condition. A brand new one from CCI in black is about $380 CAD. Add about $26 for solid colors and $40 for acid wash colors.

I paid $250 for mine, VSC Green Acid Wash, with both SC and VF bodies, used.

$320 CDN sounds pretty decent.

I love mine.

another nice thing thing about the quick changer is that it is only a 1/2 turn to take off the bottom peice to change the 12g. some other companies have made them that have about 4-6 turns.

But if it's for a VSC it should be 3 turns to be Stock Class leagel.

I dont think that is in the rule book. the only thing you cant use is lever type changers or changers that hold more than one co2 cartridge at a time.

I may be wrong..........but I wouldn't think that CCI would produce something that couldn't be used for stock class tournys.

Turns out its not a micro, rather a VSC, vert air with pretty much everything you'd expect, but shortened barrel and a shortened pumping 'clutch'. Either way I'll be happy to have it.

And now I want to keep my mag, so this is going to take a while :tard:

actually, true stock class; yes, 3 complete turns of the changer is required. which does make the phantom "stock class" illegal. as does the ported barrel, and the auto trigger. BUT, for stock class-ish you can't beat it.........great markers!
