Hey, I have a classic mag that I just bought used. I have 2 bodies for it and they are both the standard grey color. I hear about people hand polishing mags to make the body shiny and silvery... I was wondering is this hard, or time consuming and how do you do it? what do you use? polish, sandpaper? I have no clue, thanks for your time.

contact prezentz on how he does it..apparantly he just takes the black anno off and polishes it up real nice on his standards am/mm rail...it may be the same process for the bodies im not sure...i bet somebody will chime in with a better reponse...=o)

you'll probaably want a dremel or table griinder with buffer wheel. Also some jewelers rouge or flitz polishing compound.

Use Wet/Dry sanding paper and some cutting oil

Start at 400-600 and work your way up to 1000 or higher (I Went up to 4000) Then buff it.

There was an article i think on Doc's machine that inspired me. It turned out great

Good Luck.
