View Full Version : Help me figure out how to burn DVD's

Hey guys, i recently purchased a DVD burner (used off AO) and the software it came with is pretty lame. so i have tried some other programs that say they can burn a DVD. however, i am trying to burn a DVD of some home movies and...well, back up one of my most valuable posetions....PORN!!!! :eek:

so do you guys know of a good program i can download or tell me what the heck i am doing wrong?

Buy DVD X Copy. Install it, run it. Its gonna ask if your movie/dvd is borrowed/rented, of course you say no. Then you put in the DVD into the DVD writer, it reads it then copies it to your HD. It will prompt you to take it out and put in a DVDR, you do that, then press burn.

i actually already have a copy of DVD X copy, but it only seems to allow me to make copies of other DVD's, i want to create one from stuff on my hard drive

you want to download a program called DVD Shrink.
It's free, just look on google and you'll find it
great stuff, easy to use

Being I make DVD's of local events...

Use DVD-LAB

Its a menu creation program. You simply take your files you want to copy to DVD (make sure they're MPEG2 format) and easily import them into the program, create the menu's as you want and then you can create the DVD from the program. It does everything and puts them into 2 happy AUDIO_TS/VIDEO_TS files you can use NERO to burn directly to playable DVD.

DVD Maestro is another good software to use if you want to make custom DVDs.
