Need a few tidbits of info on these.

1) anyone know where I can pick one up for relatively cheap? ~$20

2) These fall under the 'no hydro test for tanks 2 inch in diameter and lower' right?

3) set up on a classic valve'd mag, how many shots do you think it could get before noticible dropoff?

1. Do a goggle search. The first hit follows:
http://www.expertshot.com/35ozco2tank.html

2. Correct. No hydro necessary.

3. If you are setting this up on a classic, go with the vertical mount and get an on/off valve for the tank. The large hole on the on/off and the vertical mount seems to help slow up liquid CO2 from entering the gun. I used a 12 OZ vertical for 10 years on my classic. (I now have HPA and an x-valve)

Doing some quick math, I got about 600 rounds on a 12 OZ, so you should get about 150-200 rounds on a 3.5 OZ.

Not sure if I will be able to mount it vertical on the setup im going for. But thanks for the info !

I don't know if it would be even worth it putting an antisiphon tube in one (i got a spare just laying around).

If your running it vertically, an anti-siphon will just hurt performence. But if you have one laying around and are mounting it horizontilly, go for it, it can hurt.

Yea, have your spare anti-siphon installed in it and maybe use an x-chamber or stabilizer.

I've never heard about this, not having to hydro a 2" or less bottle. Can anyone tell me where I can find this regulation?

Here ya go, Breck:
From http://www.catalinacylinders.com/retest.html
DOT-3AL Cylinders "2 by 2 rule" (Catalina Cylinders Cliff Impact Division only)

Retesting not required per the note under table 1 in 49CFR part 180.205. The note reads, "Any cylinder not exceeding two (2) inches in outside diameter and less than two (2) feet in length is exempt from volumetric expansion testing."

Scoad:
If you are planning on a holster-accessable setup, definitely use the anti-syphon tube, and do not use an on-off valve. I'm assuming a rear mounted ASA.

well it all depends on how i will mount it once i get all the parts i need in front of me.

It'll be one of those custom projects where it will work or it won't and i won't know until i try :P
