Hi my problem is this! i dont understand how the regulator pin works and if i dont understand that i dont know how to find out wats wrong with the mag...any 1 got any step by step schematics on how it works?

me valve is toooooooooo old! the guy hasnt used it for a while and the O rings are stiff as

i am running lvl 10 with X valve, the longest spring. The regulator leaks out of its side, like when the pressure is to high. i found out on this forum that this could be because the regulator pin vents at too low pressure:( now how to find out wat pin i need or which 1 i got? i had to replace the oring on the regulator piston, it runs and runs like Forest Gump... but the prob...vents... only after i replaced that O ring the mag started runnng like a proper mag but started venting:(

also on the agd site they have the o ring reference but they dont have the size for the regulator seat O ring:( also could i replace the reg pin O rings or they use something different to standart o rings?

thanks

hmm you say it leaks out the side? Try replacing your regulator piston oring. I know on the regular level 7 valve you take out the velocity adjuster nut take the spring pack out and that brass encasing an allen wrench screw is the regulator piston. Stick an allen wrench in there that fits and slide it out.Hope that helps.

First thing you should check is to make sure your shooting under ~300 fps, anything over that and the regulator piston vents out the back (safety precaution). now you said something about your o-rings being stiff? my suggestion would be to buy this (http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=7&categoryID=16) and replace all of the o-rings in your gun. If that dosen't fix it, you did say your valve is old and you do have a level 10 on there, you might need one of these (http://store.airgun.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=catalog.prodInfo&productID=30&categoryID=18) . Some older reg pistons can't handle the L10 so just replace it with this one if you need to. Hope i helped ya out. Also check this diagram (http://www.airgun.com/downloads/valveexplodedview.pdf) out, it might help even more ;)

Thanks for theese:) but wat bout the X valve:) i understand how these ones work:) its just the reg pin in the Xvalve and the straight through hole into the chamber that i have trouble at.... at wot point the pin starts venting? doest have to move into the venting position like 3ways or something else and wat the washer looking bits on the pin do?

strange thing some times it doesnt vent for a while.... but only for like couple of secs...
if somebody will give me a decription ill draw it up in flash and put here:)

it vents on the side:) there is a venting hole on the side for the reg pin venting.... the X valve is a retro valve and they have a diff reg piston:)

btw i live in New Zealand and it will take me a looooooong time to get a parts kit in here:) i am trying to find any replacement parts that i can find here:)!

The pin is there to compensate for the pressure drop across the line between the regulator and the air chamber. That's what allows the reg to snap shut when it reaches the ~450psi in the air chamber. (Pressure feedback)

The washer looking bits on the reg pin are disc springs.
