Hello AO,
I just got my emag in and I'm loving it. I wish I could get my tank filed so I can test this beast out.

Now I was searching the forums and I once read that someone had found a way to change the emag startup message. I was wondering if anyone could link me to someplace where I can find out how to tinker with this. I tried searching, but nothing came up.

So can AO help me... please

You can't. YOu need to talk to Potatoboy about it. He's got the software for it.

From what I know you have to write the code and flash the board with the new software. You can make it say anything you want. 2 things tho

1. It gonna cost you and u will polly have to ship ur marker out
2. the board has finite memory so u cant go crazy with too many options.

There is no easy way to change it in the 3.2 software. HaveBlue hacked it way back when and figured out how to change it, but he was VERY limited on what he could enter.

When Miscue rewrote the software (4.01) he made it have a complete alphabet and that with software you could change the startup screen. Since 4.01 has been recalled and never made it to production this is no longer even an option.

Not totally true. Tuna was telling me at NJAO 4 that Tater has a way of doing it.

It was a piece of software that let ya change the boot screen. As far as i know it didn't work on anything except 4.0 or 4.01. Tuna says it works on 3.0, so it probably does.
