What does AO think about the 2004 BKO?

I just picked one up, and I'm extremely impressed. The new BKOs have the best price/performance ratio out there.

Have you put any upgrades in it? What made you buy the bko over something else?

agreed, throw a blind bolt and a power angle adapter on and its a great feeling gun with a 68/45, plus ICD > SP in service, support, and overall kindness to customers. make sure to at least get an egg2 or you will chop, sometimes even with a blind bolt.

only downside is that they cap out at 18 bps no matter what kind of chip you put in it, due to the ram or solinoid or somethin, but thats more than fast enough

Blind bolt sucks. Just buy a halo instead. I am starting to think that replacing the inline reg might be a good idea. otherwise its a killer little gun.

I've added a Blind Bolt and a BP No-Rider. Total cost, $340. I bought the BKO because I was looking for something new, and I wanted to see how a "lower-end" gun would measure up. Quite well, I think. It's far faster than I am, relatively light, has a minimal amount of kick, and seems very well balanced (I'm running a CenterFlag 70/4500 peanut tank and a Unimount). Efficiency isn't great, but it gets more shots of a tank than my mag.

The blind bolt does suck. Just buy a good hopper or some other anti chop upgrade. Overall im not impressed by the BKO but for the price i suppose it is worth it. You get a lot for what ya pay.

how can you say that? it performs like a vert reg imp but for 150 less, and the first run blind bolts had problems but the new ones rock (from what i hear) it needs like 60 bucks in parts, not including a tank loader and barrel to be a great gun

Yeah ive seen some that appeared to be great but from my experience i cant say they are that great.

IMHO bko with blind bolt > b2k4 w/pds for the money

Just cant see the having to dump $$$$ into a gun to make it work properly out of the box. Personally have seen to many issues with them to buy one. Most of the guys I have been rec ballin with over the last couple years have all sold them off ( they all bought them when they first hit). Every one of them went down at the last tourny they hit. One kept his & has dumped+$150 into it. Every body else went for cockers / a5's/ RT ule's.

cockers / a5's/ RT ule's.

intresting company,
I never new the A5 to be the tourney delight, nor the rtp. Also keep in mind that todays bko is alot different than ones made years past, just like cockers, and teh rtp, which didnt exsist in its Al form two years ago.

There great guns for 300 bucks new. What other gun costs that little and shoots 18bps? Buying a Halo and a nice tank is something you would do for any tourney gun so I fail to see where the extra upgrades are needed.

"What other gun costs that little and shoots 18bps?" - gtrsi
the dragun tes/one do 20 for cheaper but those are still crap compared to the bko

It's a lot of gun for the money. The lpr and inline that come with it are the worst things about it, but if you are playing rec ball a majority of the time you probably wont even notice. At least there crappy regs helped build mac dev into the cyborg producing company they are now. :D Does anywhere no where i can buy a blind bolt 'cause I've looked everwhere and still can't find one.

isn't it possible to put PDS on a BKO? and where can you buy some new lpr's for the bko';s?

Yup, you can put PDS on a BKO. $125 from VaporWorks, or $165 from ICD.

Any Bushmaster volumizer will work on an '04 BKO. VaporWorks.net and Airsoldier.com are good places to start.
