I've got a little scratch in my barrel. How much do you think it affects shot consistency? It's fairly deep, runs diagonal to the bore and is about 1 cm long.

Could Be A Little Could Be A lot, why don't you try shooting some balls out of it?

Just think of all the problems with it, air can get around it, paint can break in it/becuase of it, and it will be a pain to clean

It sounds like you will break a lot of paint. I also, think that you should puts some balls through it. One question, how did it happen?

probably no big difference in performance, to be safe dont shoot any tight paint through it any it should be fine.
worse case is if you break paint and get some in the scratch then it might cause a little zig zag.

if your worried about it then just buff the barrel out with some car wax and a barrel swab, or the new stuff made specifically for buffing/cleaning barrels.

I bought it from a kid on AO and it had the scratch when I got it. He said "minor scratches" in the description so I guess I can't be that mad.

two piece or one piece? if it's 2, is the scratch on the first half or second? if it's the 2nd piece if a 2-piece barrel, it wont matter that much

Good point but it's a 1 piece.

friends got a scratch on his dye allminum but its about 1/2 in the barrel same size as yours about and doesn't affect it at all no.. hes shot over a case through it with no breaks.. so it probly depends on where the scratch is in the barrel..
