That is completely insane 22-0. After that I'm glad we got rid of Estaben after that.

BLAH!! You beat me to it. This is crazy!!
New York had never lost by more than 18 runs, falling 24-6 at Cleveland on July 29, 1928, and 19-1 at home against Detroit on June 17, 1925. Previously, the Yankees' biggest shutout loss was 15-0 at home against the Chicago White Sox on May 4, 1950.

One thought comes to mind: HA HA! :spit_take

What made it even sweeter last night was sitting there near the scoreboard at Fenway watching the awesome Sox game and watching the score of the Cleveland/New York game! Oh what a sweet sight to behold! :D

LETS go RED SOX.

3.5 behind the yankees... Catching them is doable.. Can you believe that thought wasn't even remotely possible at the beginning of August? We've made up 7 games since Aug 15th. 7 games in -2- weeks.

The Yanks are going to get SHELLED in the post-season. Their starting pitching is horrible.... The only decent starter right now is Vasquez and even he isn't pitching that well. Loaiza will never pitch for the Yanks again after that dismal night last night (he flat out gave up). Brown and Moose are shells of their old self..... The Red Sox are built for the post-season.

WATCH OUT YANKEES.

I am more worried about Minnesota and Santana than I am with the Yankees at this point. He's lights out!

Yea rkjunior's completely right. As big a Yankee fan I am, they lost half their pitchign staff last year for traders, IE Clemens and Pettite. Their bullpen has improved a bit from last year. But hitters alone can't win, which is what they tried to do this year. They have nobody that can't shut down the other team consistantly other than Mariano. Even Mariano is getting a bit old.

Steinbrener would have made a better decision to bribe the umps than trying to build this amazing craptastic team this year.

I'm just hoping somebody in the NL can shutdown Boston if needbe, if they break the curse, it's no fun anymore.

if I remember correctly, the payroll for the yankees starting 9 is higher then the entire indians payroll for ALL of their players.

It's fate, I tell you...

Go Mets.
