Smokin' the butt buddy. That is a classic valve with and aftermarket reg. section. You can tell by looking at the ON/OFF pin assy. It is the classic style with out the one piece brass housing. I have never seen a A.I.R. valve reg look like that. Has o be old and aftermarket. But I guess it has Lvl 10 and a tourney lock, so its not sooooooo bad for 100 bucks. It is not an RT/RTPro/E-mag/X valve. Good catch by the way.

the hurricane is next in line with ans parts in the fact that they didnt do anything.

hurricane supposedly had more holes drilled into it so that more air can flow. but there was only one other hole in the valve for all that extra air to flow through so it did 0.

I have a Hurricane valve and can tell you what a useless piece of crap it is.

The only real part of the Hurricane valve that was an upgrade (extra holes was touted but really BS) was that it was ally so there was a weight saving but when you consider when it was released the weight of markers then wasn't an issue as we were using large ally and sometimes steel bottles with CO2, brass barrels and brass bolts too (not all on the 'mag) but weight wasn't the big issue it is now.

But... but... but he says that the Hurricane can really compete with the X-valve!

I guess if you're in the habit of using valves as paperweights, then yeah, probably...
