My friend, who ive juss met for like 4 months, tells me that his SPYDER PILOT is faster than my angel LCD 2k2 and my other teamates Dragon Timmy. He juss got his spyder and is like Hailing it saying its one of the best guns.....i think hes a retard and he also suxs at paintball...Ive been playing for 4 years and hes been playin for 6 months and he thinks he knows more...ive argued with him but still talks behind my back saying that hes better and stuff like that...Now i got nothing against a spyder, i got one myself, but this guy makes it seem like there the greatest guns...

Does anyone know people like this?

Sure, blowback CAN be faster the electropneumatic, but that doesn't mean the Pilot is faster then an Angel because the board on the Pilot only allows 13 bps, and if I remember corectly the Angel can shoot around 30. Thats a 27 bps diff.

And is it just me or if the blowback design has so much potential why aren't companys coming out with triggers that allow you to shoot so much faster? Because their are downsides, but I don't really want to talk about that. Make a new thread.




And about your friend, just shut him up by playing a 1 vs 1 on him a couple times, and make sure you beat him.

The spyder will runaway to a faster CPS than your angel can ever hope to reach. However, it'll chop each and every ball loaded into it trying...

Of course your angel can shoot faster than a spyder. You've got COPS/sensi/eyes, the pilot doesn't. Your gun will delay shots until there's a ball to fire, the spyder will chop right through the balls.

Now, he could be saying he can rock the trigger faster than you can. That might be true, if you were both using the same marker. A capped spyder vs an angel loses that race, though.


If your friend has only been playing paintball for a few months, then he's likely to still be in his n00b phase. He'll grow out of it someday. In the meantime, you should set him in front of a chrono that can display BPS rates. Rip on it with your angel, then have him take a go at it. It'll shut him up for a while, at least. :shooting:

Its been a while since I've shot a blowback marker but dont they have some decent kick to them compared to the higher end markers. Correct me if im wrong but I think thats why companies arent investing a lot of money into it.

Anyway just want to say I've seen a spyder rip just as good as an a4 and alais timmy. You must know what to do tho ;)

i really think the "well this gun cycles faster" stuff is crap, its like the 2 liter can recharge faster, but who cares, no one gets shootdown with the sidewinder anyway, just liek no one is gonna max out there timmy's cps, bottom line, if you pick up the pilot, shoot it, then pick up the timmy and shoot it, i dont care how fast its cycling, if the spyder is not getting paint out of the barrel faster than the timmy (which it typicially dosent) i wouldnt call it the faster marker :rolleyes:

We're talking about design here, so it should be reasonable to compare a spyder configured to actually make use of its performance capibilities... so compare one with IS, or morlock board and light microswitch. Then yes, its possible that spyder will outshoot an angel, or a timmy. As for all out speed, Vikings seem to be the one of, if not the fastest electropneumatic at the moment,able to go past the 30 cps mark, not sure what they have maxed out at, so that would be the closest current rival i think, i forget the osiris cps claims so i wont comment on that one but note that its also a rival of the stack tube's flat out speed. Perhaps the new PBX cocker as well (can you believe it, a cocker a speed demon?) :tard:

Yeah, Spyders can cycle faster, but you can shoot a high end gun like a timmy much easier than a spyder. The only way I would expect to see a spyder out shoot a timmy would be if you took the sear out, pulled back on the hammer and let her rip.
