Well it's almost winter up here in Alaska which means no paintball til next may so I have decided to sell off my gear in hopes of getting a "nice" gaming comp.

What I'm looking for is to buy the equipment off ebay for fairly cheap (dont want to spend more than 700) but I need some help as I am not entirely sure of whats a good deal.

This is what I've been looking into:

If i understand that right, all i would need to do is to take out my current harddrive and dvd rom drive and throw it in there, that and install Windows. Is that right? Does this seem like a good basis for a gaming comp? I have 2 sticks of 512mb ram pc2100, would these work on that comp? Also do these types of deals seem legit, I'm always afraid of getting stuff off ebay.

Then I was thinking of purchasing this graphics card:

Again does it seem like a good deal? Are there any other cards i should check out for the price?

Any suggestions would be nice

Thanks!

Instead of going the Intel route, I suggest looking into AMD Processors. Either the Athlon XP series or Athlon 64, both bench higher than the P4's when setup in similar configurations.

As for video cards, I'm aware that ATI seems to have taken the lead with current graphics technology but being partial to Nvidia I still stand by them. I believe either chipset would be a good choice for high power rendering.

This seem like a decent athlon setup?

Says its a 2.4ghz processor speed so does it really compare to the 3.0ghz w/ HT? (I really have no clue what all this jargon means)

That will straight up PWN a 3ghz P4 w/ HT.
