KC Trouble Free for the gun
Rain X for the barrel
I agree with the KC Trouble free. It's the best oil out there. I've never tried the rain-x. It is an interesting idea though...............
KC is the only oil that will EVER go through my guns!
Here is a conversation I had with Kermode Concepts ( sorry for it's length):
Hi Elliott-
Years ago. Daisy made a really cheap semi-auto plastic Paintball gun. They
recommended ATF. ATF is made specifically to work well with automatic
transmissions, not guns. However, if you use SYNTHETIC ATF, your automatic
transmission will last 3 times longer. K-C oils are the only lubricants
that are engineered specifically for Paintball guns.
What do Paintball gun makers want you to do? Buy more of their guns when
your present one wears out. If they wanted your present gun to last
forever, they would supply K-C oil with it.
One AirgGun Designs tech. recently ordered several large bottles of my
synthetic oil from me, for use in their warranty repair department. I
asked him why they use my product in repairing their guns, and he said that
that helps to make sure that the repaired gun never comes back. I asked
him why they don't supply their new guns with my oil, and he told me the
exact words that I wrote in the above paragraph.
Thanks a lot for your support of our products with your field owner, but
don't waste too much of your time. I have been involved with Paintball
since 1986 and have not met very many intelligent field operators. Most of
them lose their businesses pretty quickly. However, you might refer your
guy to Joe Pommier. Joe owns and operates the Bear Creek Pursuit Paintball
field (www.bearcreekpaintball.com), and has been a writer for many
Paintball magazines since the '80s. And, of course, Joe uses K-C oil on
all of his personal and rental guns.
Best regards,
Dave Kermode
