Sorry guys it's nothing the kind of speed I would like to show but rather it's to help show how 4.0 works.

For the few of you who care to read it and have not yet, there is a VERY informative thread on the subject where Miscue (AGD 4.0's creator) explains the details of what 4.0 does and how it works.

http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=150696

I have made 2 liitle (ok 11 and 18MB is not that small) videos demoing how the shot buffering works. Sorry guys I did all this with my debounce at 10 so no perfect strings of 20+ :). Still I think it's descriptive eh?

Part 1 (11MB and about 50 sec long) (http://www.zakvetter.com/videos/shot_buffering_pt1.mov)

Part 2 (18MB about 1min 30 sec) (http://www.zakvetter.com/videos/shot_buffering_pt2.mov)

EDIT: Also because It's a better example of the high speed capabilities of 4.0 here is my older 4.0 video I made. No it's not me walking it in E-Mode, Brad is much faster than I so I let him have the glory.

4.0 speed testing (featuring the infamous Chris "YUR M0M" kid) (http://homepage.mac.com/zvetter/.Movies/SFL%204.0%20Testing.mov)

What is the deal with 4.0? Is it still not going to be released?

Causes full-auto issues in some markers. Last time I heard there were no plans to update the software past 3.2 -- AGD or otherwise.

Run Z-Man RUN! Don't let that sprinkler touch ur baby! hehe.

Good to see ya makin' some vids again :) Was hoping ud test 26bps in hybrid mode :D

I gotta ask, what vid camera are you using? And is it 100% digital or does it record to a digital ready tape and then you port it to your computer? I'm on the market for a new 100% digital camcorder such as the new Sony's that write straight to DVD, or another high quality type that writes to a memory card or internal hard drive.

Thanks!

To my knowledge, no.

I made a revision last week (on my own initiative... w/o AGD knowledge) with 4.20 - that I think solves the FA problem... or at least is very effective. I've been unable to break the marker thus far, and problem markers seem to be working now.

Basically, it has a scheme to shut off the solenoid, the magnetic field collapses (not instantly though... residual magnetism... which has been the killer complication), HES can be more reliably read. I tried something like this before, but couldn't get it to work until now - I previously couldn't find the "sweet spot" for timing that handles this issue with the marker still functioning properly.

Your last part is screwing up and shoots sporatically because the solenoid plunger is locking up... not making a full stroke. I wouldn't take it higher than 20bps... have to jack up the input pressure otherwise, to kick the plunger back in harder.

Cool vids... but the lower bps demos are not really different from what 3.2 does. 4.x sings at higher bps - and it's good you put in the 18bps demo.

I'm quite fond of it Zak... did a good job.

I suppose it's kinda cruel... to show hungry people the cake we're eating... and you can't have. :D Sorry!

Tastes like... honey.

It's a Sony DSR-PD150 3CCD Mini DV carmera. It's basically Sony's version of the Canon XL1

Ill measure the noid length again to be sure its cycling all the way but I know themarker will do 20+ ok as you see in that old 4.0 video. I just dont have the speed when I am relaxing at home. Next time Ill have someone off camera shooting at me now and then to get me pumped ;).

Take the grip off while firing, and see if it stutters... it's pretty easy to see. Not sure what you're going to do with measuring the noid length.

Early morning logic ;). I was thinking about that problem I had with the noid not engaging the on/off pin and thinking it would also be related to the stuttering. But I think its more apathy on my end than a marker malfunction as just a little while back at Extreme Paintball we got videos of me doing:

stuff like this! (5MB d/l) (http://www.zakvetter.com/videos/zman_shooting.mov)

But do be sure I will study it later today when I have time. The whole marker is starting to show some significant wear after 120,000 rounds.

Ah Zak, you make me want to get an E/X-mag again...until I remember how every one I had was magically transformed into a turd when I held it. We will have to switch guns for a few games next time we play, so send that SFL in for service!

And you are not kidding either! Your a prefect canidate for those over-used Mastercard spoofs:

-1 off Shark Attack ano X-mag- $1200 (or knowing Steelrat he was able to get it for $400 and change...)

-68/45 Dynaflow Tank- $200

-Halo B V35- $140

-Fireblade Trigger- $60

Finding out you have the power to strike down any AGD product in a single game- priceless
