expansion chamber as a gas through?

I'm looking at getting a gas-through grip for my mag, and I want something that looks cool. I'm thinking about getting an expansion chamber and using it as a gas-through grip. Would it starve my mag though? Is that a crappy one?I really just need it to let the gas through without messing with the pressure, ect.
Also, how are the CP mini and normal gas-through grips?

Excellent, i think they're the nicest on the market. I run mini's on my mag's w/ RPG 15* ASA's and have run the full size model on my cockers.

Man those things are heavy. They will throw the weight of the gun forward. Get the CP light tight and blah bla bah
