Really making me mad!!

I have a virus or spyware or somthing that is messing up everything. I run Ad-Aware and usually 16 or 17 things are found that are called CoolWebSearch. I delete it, and about 10 later it comes back. Everytime i sign on AIM it gives me some BS that says AIM has encountered a problem. It does not let me onto any website EXCEPT AO for some reason. It does not let me click any sort of link. It doesnt let me run Windows Media Player, Xbox Connect, or Limewire. I do not have an anti-virus on this Windows. I have one on the other Windows that is on this CP but i do not know how to transer files from one to another.

If someone could please help me out, it would be awesome. Like i said, i cant click links so please dont post links.

Get a friend to lend you Norton and run a check, it has to be able to do that. Or anything that can find a virus, then delete it, fast.

Try spybot, check add/remove programs, search your hard drive for the program. Run an anti-virus. I had one on a friends computer I was trying to get rid of makemoemoney2000 or somthing like that. Ran adaware and spybot, deleted the program, uninstalled it and it is still there.

ahh, coolwebsearch. i had that crap for about 2 months. it keeps changing your home page huh? anyways i dont know how i got rid of it, but i used ad-aware. and now i use only Firefox to browse and havent picked up a single spyware file since i started using it

umm, google somting called cwshredder. im almost sure its a program used to specifically get rid of that. I think www.download.com has it. that might help a bit!

im pretty sure spybot,ad-aware wont totally remove coolwebsearch.

go to google and type it in. there is a program to run or some step by step instructions on how to remove it.

I had coolwebsearch on my old comp. I downloaded cwshredder and it worked amazing. until i started to d/l porn :p . But that shiz is amazing. ill get you a link..

You cant download it by clicking on the name. On the right theres a link that says Download Now with a green box and 2 white arrows. click that. I would post that, but its in javascript..
