it's a silver certificate. it may be worth a little more than a dollar to collector. you can convert it to silver, not sure where.

My dad is a numistmatist, if you'd like I can show him the picture and ask him, but I dont think its going to be worth much than the face value :)
Plus it's circulated, thus depreciating the value.

It's a silver certificate. Back in the old days, like the fiftys you could have used it to buy one doller worth of silver from the bank. These days worth one doller at any store, to a collector 10-20 bucks.

It really looks to be in good shape, I would hold on to it. I have been collecting old money for about ten years and I only have come across five of them.

They come in 5,10,and 20 amounts that I have seen. Of those only one of each.

Hope that helps ya

it is a 1957 B $1 Silver Certificate, i think this means you could cash it in for silver maybe?
o know my parents have quite a bit of them so they're collectable, but for value i think it is up around 10-15 bucks. more info here: http://www.usrarecurrency.com/SmallSizeSilverCertificates.htm

There is a pack of 50 for 500 there, which means 10 each, and those are uncirculated. Yours has been folded, stored in pockets, ect..
Like I said, that one is circulated, and It probably isnt worth a whole lot more than a dollar, so I would just go buy a coke from a machine or something. Unless you're into collecting.. but apparently you arent.

It's not worth anything but it's cool to have.

Actually cannot it still be cashed for silver, which means it was $1 of silver in 1957 so with inflation the same silver should be worth about $15 now?
