spyder/mag mod

at my local field forum one of my fellow mag owners was talking about a spyder-mag mod
it was something to do with taking the grip frame off a spyder and putting it on a mag, and then they were talking about it having a t-board and getting 26 bps.....has anyone else heard about this or have any info on it?
