Hey guys,

I'm tearing down my ULE RT and getting a karta body and rail, and doing the powder coat thing, and dropping more cash in my mag, and all that good stuff. Here's what I need. I want to get the nicest, smoothest, best looking fittings, QDs, and hoses so I can go the extra mile. I really like the look of those rubber coated/sleaved steel braided hoses, but I don't know where to get them. I also need to know where I can buy hard line high lines. I know Doc Nickle can do them, but can I buy kits ready made and install them myself, or is it on a per gun basis that they need to be set up?

Here's two images from the AO that illustrate what I'm thinking, plus I gotta give big ups on the sweet guns guys.

Oh and then there's this:

I ran across this x-mag on ebay. I don't know the guy and I'm not trying to sell anything. I know you guys have been trying to track them all down.

Please help. Any input is greatly appreciated.

first of thanks for the compliment! its really easy to add the shrink wrap on just make sure when ya do it that firstly its long enough and secondly you dont get to big a size because at a certain point it stops shrinking and ya dont want it on there too loose.

Doc can do hard lines, or if you can find someone selling an old Venom ToxicToys hi-line they are pretty nice.

As for the rubber coating, that is just shrink wrap over steel braid.

Yeah, Wantamag. I figured you hadn't checked the links. I had to use yours as an example because it's such a tight looking package. I just got my karta body (raw, polished) the other day. It looks so swet just raw and polished I almost don't want to powder coat it. Almost.......pics coming!

Thanks for all the help guys!

Are you powdercoating the body because you want a color that cannot be anodized? It's usually better to anodize mainbodies and other 'mag parts since anodization doesn't throw off tolerances as much as powdercoating can. Nowadays the tolerances arn't too big of an issue, but it's not often that you hear someone wanting to powdercoat their gear.

For the SS lines, the quick do-it-yourself solution is to buy shrink tubing at either a hardware store or at auto parts stores. I know NAPA carries a few colors and the right diameter, though I can't remember which size it is. The drawback to this method (vs commercially wrapped hoses) is that the shrink tubing is hard to get in long lengths, so you have to overlap the tubing for longer SS hose runs.

Yeah, I want to get and iridescent fade from kpcustoms. I REALLY want a chameleon style finish on the gun, where it looks one color at one angle and fades to another at a different angle, but I can't really find what I'm looking for. I saw something like it on Punisher customs a couple of years ago, but I can't now.
