Crossfire...

I don't care for the valve that the Dye uses.

Check out CenterFlag...smallest lightest pre-sets available and you can get them on a stubby 72.

unless they have changed it around, dye uses a schraeder (sp?) pin valve. avoid at all costs

dye throttle regs have nearly the slowest recharge rate of all tanks currently on the market.
Recharge rate is important, because a tank that recharges slow will cause shots to drop off or become inconsistent at high rates of fire.
-crossfire or pmi for presets

Crossfire -

The DYE Throttle is THE most expensive screw in tank and is also the worst in terms of consistancy and recharge (at least the last I'd read about them).

Crossfire. I have two with no intention of giving them up.

In one of the newer issues of Action Persuit, they did a tank test, they had about 12 different brands of tanks from preset to adjustable, out of the presets the Dye throttle came in last with a 96.23 millisecond recharge rate, and the crossfire came in first with an 8 millisecond recharge rate, out of the adjustables the Evil scion came in first, I can't remember the times. I was more interested in the presets, I've been looking at a new one myself

evo.end3r - I just noteced from your sig that you own an e-mag.
I owned a dye throttle preset and tried to use it for my Level 10, x-valved, v3.2 E-mag.

The dye tanks could not keep up with the gun, (yes "tanks" I sent back all 3) mags need a lot of pressure to cycle properly and the throttle was not able to supply the e-mag with enough pressure.

A level10 that is starved for air sputters and chufs at high rates of fire. It was very frustrating to find this out first hand..especially after spending nearly 300$ on a preset tank, only to find that the 190$ ones perform much better.

Plus when you add the extra $ for having the word/symbol "Dye" on the tank.......
